Jax hops backwards, disengaging from the witch. He then maneuvers to the opposite side of the skeleton so he can pay it back for its scimitar attacks. Despite the height advantage of the skeleton (just a few feet!), Jax is able to get into striking distance and make a quick stab with his dagger.

OOC: Jax seems best positioned to give flanking on the skeleton, so I'll leave the biter to someone else.
[sblock=Jax stat block / actions]Minor: Shifty to V12.

Move: walk to X15.

Standard: Piercing Strike vs Bonesy hits Reflex 38 for 36 cold damage. (1d20+21=38; 1d4+12+1+2=17; 2d8+4=19)

*HAGURK* <HEROISM LEVELS DROPPING RAPIDLY, SHUT DOWN EXTRANEOUS FUNCTIONS - NON-HARM RELATED PROCESSES ABORTED>

Sir Exsixten's legs and face lock solid, his arm swinging up and down in a mechanical chopping motion, his torso jerking rapidly from one target to the next to line up for the next swing.

*Biter takes 33 damage(16 hp left), is marked, and has -1 to AC(save ends).
*Radaga takes 10(+2 if THP) damage.
*Skeleton takes 12(+2 if THP) damage.
*Sir Exsixten's in same spot, now at 11+11/82 hp.

Need to pick up a cheap Master's axe so I can have two stances going at once: regen 7 would be nice right now, just not as nice as 40ish "free" damage...

Quagmire, his senses finally clear, circles behind the last goblin. With a thrilling roar, he plunges his sword into its unprotected neck. It drops, finally releasing its grasp on Sir Exsixten's shiny leg. The departure of the last goblin is a huge relief, and all the heroes feel a surge of vigor as the fight starts to turn.

OOC: Guys, don't forget you have a +5 power bonus to damage rolls against the skeleton. I don't think it was included in Jax and Exsixten's rolls.

Revitalized by Quagmire, Andras shoves himself to his feet and quickly takes several steps away from the undead. Seeing that Jax has positioned himself well, Andras shouts out to the kobold, "Jax! Bring that giant down!" He nearly does just that.

[sblock=Actions]Move: Stand
Minor: Use power on boots to shift to S16 and gain a bonus to AC and Reflex.
Standard: Direct the Strike, allowing Jax to make a MBA against the skeleton. Hits AC 31 for 35 cold damage. Nice! Or 37 damage, rather, since Bonesy is, um, bloodied, or marrowed, or whatever.

It is very possible to kill the skeleton this round. Assuming nothing stops Rain of Steel, he effectively has 23 hp left. Given the +5 power bonus to damage rolls I'm granting against him, that shouldn't be too hard to chew through.

Immediate Interrupt: If the giant skeleton hits an adjacent ally, and that ally has a strong MBA (preferably Jax or Exsixten I suppose), then use Insightful Warning to give that ally a MBA against the skeleton and a +2 power bonus to defenses against said attack.[/sblock]

Dorn takes aim at the skeleton with his lucky dagger, and a jet of purest acid burns through bone with an audible sizzle. (Acid Orb hits for 23 damage (includes Andras bonus) - I think that dooms it). Dorn steps backward (move 6 squares N), taunting the Witch all the while in an attempt to attract her attention.

"Beat that, missy! You're no match for us!"

As his compatriots beat upon the remaining foes, Brenn tried to distract the crone. He aimed carefully, and the arrow struck her directly between the eyes, snapping her head back- it wasn't enough to kill, but it had to HURT...

His feet tied again, Quagmire grinds his teeth and resorts to his only ranged attack, hurling his shield at the crone, who bats it aside contemptuously. He manages to force his feet to move, but will it be too late?

[sblock=actions]Well, shoot. I had a great turn lined up that would have freed Sir Ex to go after her, and maybe used one of my nice warlord buff powers. But it depended on Hobgoblin resilience, which it turns out I already used in this fight. Dang.

Standard: throwing shield, 21 vs. AC misses, sigh
end of turn: save succeeds
