Adventure: A Tale of Two Domains (DM:Luinnar, Judge:renau1g)

Jax slips almost as soon as he steps on the bridge. He falls face-forward and skids across to the opposite side, then rolling off the edge of the bridge. Before falling to his doom, he manages to catch the rockface with a single clawed hand.

"AAHHH!! Help me! I DON'T WANT TO MELT!"

Andras slips on the wet surface, causing him to lose his balance. He tries to grab the edge of the bridge to catch himself but misses and with a horrifying look on his face he plummets through the swirling mists below, out of sight.

After falling for what seems like eternity you land with a sickening crunch on the pile of bones at the cavern floor. Blue mists swirls about you, emitting the same acidic smell. It burns your skin and your eyes, but does not seem deadly.

Trying to stand up you find a searing pain coming from your right leg, it seems to be broken. After several attempts you manage to stand up, determined to try to find your way back to the party. The mists block your vision up to a couple inches away, making it impossible to investigate your surrounding easily. You will have to make due with other means.

GM: Andras takes 36 points of damage from the fall. Also, his leg is broken and he is slowed. You can attempt a heal check to try to make a splint of some kind provided you have the materials. You can use healing powers to heal HP (but not your leg) but you don't have time for a short rest at the moment.

Also, please use sblocks to post until you get back to the party since Andras is traveling alone.

Sir Exsixten turns back to the group.

CITIZENS OF JUSTICE, IT IS TIME TO VENTURE FORTH AND SLAY THE DRAGON... DEMON... UNDEAD BEAGLE... WHAT ARE WE ON OUR WAY TO SLAY AGAIN?

He blinks rapidly.

CITIZENS, YOU HAVE DECREMENTED! UN-SUBTRACT YOURSELVES AT ONCE! IF WE DIVIDE NOW, IT WILL ADD UP TO MULTIPLYING OUR PROBLEMS!

"Andras!" Quagmire shouts, rushing to the edge and trying to peer into the mists below.

OOC: Trying to see if there's any chance of a rescue operation, e.g. by lowering Jax on a rope.

Jax, seeing that help is not immediately forthcoming, struggles to pull himself onto level ground. He manages to get a second hand on the rockwall and then scrambles up the cliff. He speaks angrily once he's safe. "What if I'd died! ... Hey, where's Andras?"
He looks over the cliff into the mist below. "Oh wow, he's dead for sure."

Quagmire looks down to the spot where Andras fell, but the swirling mists make it impossible to see to the bottom.

The party might hear you if you shouted really loudly.

[sblock=Andras Underground]Very carefully, Andras lowers himself back down to the ground. He pulls the longsword and scabbard off his belt. He draws the blade, shrugs, and drops it to the ground. Then he procedes to make a rudimentary splint out of the scabbard. As he does so, he grumbles loudly.

"Stupid sodding bridge... bloody warforged, all DON'T WORRY CITIZEN, STAND BACK AS I CAUSE MASSIVE PROPERTY DAMAGE AND FORGET EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST ZERO POINT THREE SECONDS... all for some silly besotted child... why can't her precious beloved save her..."

The grousing does seem to restore the genasi's spirit, at least.

OOC: Heal 17. Inspiring Word on self to heal surge + 4, bringing me up to 44/61. If I can, I'll also use my second wind to get 15 hp back.

Satisfied with his work, Andras then looks up towards where he fell from. He takes a deep breath as if to shout out, but then stops and looks around cautiously, as though looking for creatures in the mist. Instead of yelling, he draws an arrow, aims it above him and towards his allies, and fires.

OOC: Rather not risk alerting any nasty gribblies to my exact location. Nor do I want to cause a cave in. Well, not yet. First let's see if this arrow works.

Andras now has a movement of 4 thanks to the splint (he is no longer slowed). You will need more proper care for it to be fully healed (you will need a ritual or some more substantial magical care. You should be able to find it in Skald or any city).

Also, you may use your second wind.

Brenn's keen eyes notice something shooting up from the pit Andras fell into. It appears to be some sort of projectile, but it falls out of sight before he can get a good look at it.
