Clambering to his feet, slightly behind the others, Cleaver hops on Ripfang and hurries to catch up, inspecting himself and noting what repairs need to be made.

[sblock=ooc] Holiday weekend... Right you guys live in reality. All I did this weekend was work over 40 hours in 3 days.[/sblock]

As Rohna vaults up into her saddle, her armor fades away into wisps of smoke. Her leap allows her to get into her saddle sooner than the others. Her and Natasha are able to gain some ground on the wagon.

Roswyn watches the wagon receding into the distance faster than she can possibly run. But that wide wagon will have to stick to the wider boulevards... and with wheels they'll have to stick to ramps... "Harkin, come on, this way!" She grabs the halfling by the arm and pulls him into a narrow alley, trying to find a shortcut so they can catch up with the fleeing vehicle. Ahead is a staircase leading to another level of the city.

The teen initially resists but then comes along. "Yes you are right, this way! He points down another alley that juts out at an angle to their own."

I take it we have no opportunity for a short rest, then? If this ends in combat it could get really ugly...

(Also, how did I manage to forget to buy any potions of healing with my starting equipment? :()

If it wasn't challenging it would't be as fun! I've got plans for that too. ;)

36 hours for me. 3 days off now!(through Wed)[/sblock]

OOC: Let me know if this will work.

Tondrek looks confused a moment, then jumps forth in a burst of energy. He quickly dumps some flour he scooped up from the store into a collection of the litter in the alleyway and then starts pushing it together, much to the consternation of others. Right before he blocks the entire ally, he starts quickly making some gestures, and livid blue runes form on the box. Tie into Syrinia tie... boxes flow down local ley line... disrupt traffic, yes, lots of junk and flour...

OOC: Try to use Arcana to create a distraction/disruption, one time only, likely. Arcana: 22. Not so great.

Spurring on his lizard, Tamarand is frustrated by the pedestrains blocking his path and shouts out "I swear to Khyber I will melt the flesh from your bones if you don't get out of my way!" as the pushes forward.

*Phew* It's a good thing I saved an encounter power from the last battle.

*Evo - if Tamarand is targetted by an attack he'll use an immediate interrupt (Storm Soul) to end his thunder/lightning resistance and gain +4 bonus to all defenses TENT.

Cleaver racks his brain trying to find a cross street that he could use to cut them off, perhaps trap them between himself and his allies.

Tondrek's quick insight is not quite quick enough, as their quarry soon outreaches his ritual.
[sblock=ooc]Would've had you rolled a bit better. Nice job though.[/sblock]

The crowd opens up before the drow, making his way easier and slowing down the kobolds as well.

Cleaver racks his brain trying to find a cross street that he could use to cut them off, perhaps trap them between himself and his allies. He quickly gets turned around, but a quick whistle from Harkin, leads him on the correct path.

[sblock=ooc]Succeed but just barely.[/sblock]

[sblock=Evo]Evo, could you post an overview of the current status/positions of the wagon and all the pursuers? It would be helpful for roleplaying descriptions of our next moves...[/sblock]

OOC: Surely...

Roswyn and Harkin make their way up some stairs down an alleyway. They seek to cut off the wagon. From their perch, they see Cleaver below, spinning around in a circle, trying to decide where to go. With a quick whistle from the halfling, Cleaver takes the same route as the gnome and the halfling, with longer strides catching up to the shorter pair.

Tamrand calls out his ire on the crowd around them, they had entered some sort of market. People and stalls were everywhere. Before the drow's harsh words they part from the drow and his goliath companion, astride his own mount. Crowding away from the pair, they get closer to wagon as the wagon rounds a corner and enters the market from a different street.

Several of the wares of the market begin to float upon the air, but the panicked horses of the wagon trample right through them.
