OOC: Roswyn's passive Streetwise is 21, do I need to roll for that knowledge or is passive ok?

Roswyn puts a hand on her chin. "Tondrek may have a point. Shava, Tamarand, while you're out depositing our friends here, maybe you could have a look around, maybe ask a couple of questions, and see if there's any sign of gang or watch presence for us to worry about. If not, then maybe we should just hole up here for the night and descend when we're fresh." She giggles. "I've never spent the night in a joint like this before... but I always figured I would some day!"

Noticing Brenron's struggle with his clothes, she waves him over. "Sir, if you like I can help you with that... one of the first things they teach you at Korranberg is a cantrip that will get even the worst stains out of clothes."

She continues speaking to the dwarf. "So, can we consider this kobold monopoly broken, do you think? They came a bit too close for comfort to breaking you instead." She winks.

[sblock=ooc dragon]By the way, I can't remember exactly when a dragon was mentioned and by whom. We speculated a little bit I think back in the Shard... was there something else? Did the kobolds say something?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Passive is always okay with me. Just wanted to add great RP by everybody. I hope everybody is enjoying themselves thus far.

I thought the last battle dragged a little. I think I should've put an arcane check in earlier to realize that the sorc could use his defensive power more than once/encounter. I was hoping the battle would be challenging (I think it was)and most elites would have interrupts/reactions either to deal damage or prevent it so in designing the encounter I new it would be tough, but not as long as it was.[/sblock]

Somehow the Dragon had slipt Shava's mind. "I'll se what I can do. Come along Drow."

Shava heads out the door.

[sblock=ooc]I agree that the last battle did drag a bit, but... <shrug> We had a streak of poor rolling. It was obvious that the wizard's defensive interrupt could be used over and over, but unfortunately there wasn't much we could do about it. Of course the trick was to hit him more than once in a round since he could only use it once per round. But the dice just kept screwing up that plan. :)

I suppose we could have used aid another, didn't think of that at the time... Next time, maybe everyone aid Tondrek! :)

But anyway, sometimes it drags and there's not much you can do, unless you want to have the monsters surrender or just start cutting their hit points back "behind the screen". In this case they did manage to drop two of the PCs at the end. Although not positive from the players' point of view, that did mean that it didn't drag out pointlessly. It was just a bad point! ;) Even so, I thought it was fun and dramatic and tense. I was getting really worried that we might not be able to get to save Brenron in time. (Roswyn really needs to buy some healing potions!)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Combat did go a little long, but only near the end when we were low on resources. I think when we all could focus fire it helped. Just remember Tondrek ain't your striker. He was just lucky. :)[/sblock]

Tamarand's eyes narrow as the half-elf finishes, he draws up close to her as they leave. "Order me around like that again half-breed and you shall see just why the common folk fear the drow." he hisses, letting the threat hang in the air.

Not sure what was appropriate so I threw a bunch of stuff at the wall to see what sticks...

[sblock=ooc]Good point. We could have been trying to aid another for one of the sorcerers probably. Although, having looked it up now :), the problem with aid another strategy is that it requires the aider to make a melee basic attack against the target. Only vs AC 10, and the aidee can use the bonus for any sort of attack, but for a non-melee squishy like Roswyn, getting into melee range is problematic. I guess it still might be useful in limited doses. <shrug> [/sblock]

As the pair head outside with the bodies, they notice a pair of prostitutes standing nearby. They are talking in hushed tones and you can tell there is excitement in them from their expressions. They do see you, by they don't approach.

Shava sighs at the drow's angered response. Note to self, never higher drow. Looking over at the prostitutes she knew things simply couldn't be left alone.

"What's you're preference then? The ladies or these gentlemen?"
