[Adventure] Dirty Money: (The Final Encounter; Rohna, Tondrek up)[Judge: THB]

After a bit of thinking, Roswyn declares that there is no danger in sleeping here. Tamarand decides the best way to rest is use what is already here. With some help from Tondrek they stack up some tables to create a sort of barricade to shield them. Finally those with arcane inclinations help Roswyn with the ritual. Small eyes appear, their task set for them. The watches are set and everybody takes a much deserved rest.

The drow enters his trance in the corner, eyes close as he meditates on the elemental ties running through the world. He refocuses his energy and is surprised at a new line he's discovered that runs towards him. Tamarand grabs onto it with his mind, pulling it closer, inspecting it like one would a jewel or fine weapon. With great effort the sorcerer manages to add its power to his own.

When Tamarand awakes, a large, predatory grin spreads wide on his face, "Oh, this will be fun, I can't wait to see the Lyrander's face after this" he thinks to himself, chuckling at the thought.

After waiting for the others, Tamarand asks "Do we have time for a quick trip to grab a potion or two? It might be too much for the half-orc if we end up like the last fight"

"I think restocking would b wise." Shava says, finding herself agreeing with the drow. She stretches and buttons up her coat proper. She then motions to her hair, having no mirror, toward Roswyn.

"Roswyn, would you?"

After the ritual to create the eyes are complete, and the participants have caught their breath, Roswyn wanders over to the half-orc. "My dear Tondrek, now that I have this new wonderful orb I have no use for this old one. Would you mind breaking it down to residuum for me? I know that's no challenge for your skills!"

As the group settles down, Roswyn picks through some of the overturned furniture and recovers one of the discarded kobold instruments. She begins playing a merry tune. Her fingering is a bit awkward at first but smooths out as she gets used to the unfamiliar instrument. She looks up at Shava and flashes a mischievous grin. "Say, Shava, I couldn't really see what was going on out here while I was backstage, but from the hoots and hollers I could hear, someone was up on stage dancing. I doubt our dwarven friend, handsome as he may be, could draw that reaction from that crowd, so... could it have been you?" Roswyn winks, and the tune she is playing turns into a funky bump and grind. "I'm so sorry I missed your performance! I don't suppose you'd care to repeat it now for this new audience? I bet I'm not the only one who would appreciate it!" She glances towards Tamarand and giggles.

Roswyn awakes refreshed. As she studies her spellbook, she is pleased to find that she can finally comprehend an advanced spell she's been working on.

She moves over to help her friend with her hair. "Yes, I could use a couple of healing potions too. Tamarand, do you know any place near here where we might find them?"

Regarding surges for the artificer, IIRC he doesn't need them right after an extended rest. It's only recharging them after they are used. Is that correct?[/sblock]

Shava raises an eyebrow at her friends blatant and brazen suggestion, her mouth open in mock shock and indignantly that she would even suggest such a thing.

"Unfortunately when plans seemed to suddenly change I was forced to stall, and having higher ground when the fighting inevitably broke out seemed a clear advantage." She tried to keep up a serious face, but simply could not against her friends clear glee.

"And no, my dear Roswyn. Such a performance, from someone of my station, never actually happened. To catch a glimpse of it's possibility is a once in a lifetime opportunity." At that she resigned herself to giggles as well.

"Off the top of my head no, but I'm sure between the Lyrandar and me we could find someone looking to take some of this gold from us" Tamarand replies

The ritual costs 25gp for non-artificers, but its free for him of course. So you're saving 25gp if you don't give him anything.[/sblock]

I take it Evo doesn't see it as an issue as he suggested it, and is hurrying us along.

Shava smiles at Tondrek and pats him on the shoulder. "I'm sure you would friend, but considering our numbers, and how long we've already waited I think it would be quicker to go find some ourselves."

Pity, I would have like to watch him work. I really need to find some time to increase my own stock of rituals.

Shava moves around the room taking funds from people who required potions, so they could leave a considerable guard, then with a nod to Tammarand, headed back out into the city.
