Tondrek looks confused at the question, having forgot totally about the "arrangement." He then begins to ignore the conversation as it did not seem to particularly involve him or anything interesting.

Tamarand looks at Roswyn funny, he obviously hadn't been paying attention to the activities of the others.

"Well I must admit I'm not in any big hurry to jump into some sewers, so if we need to go make sure our gold won't be lost then let's do that" the drow replies.

You would've seen that Tamarand's attention was focused on someone else, he was staring at Shava as she turned towards the dor[/sblock]

"I think I'm missing a little bit of information here actually." Shava says, rejoining the group proper. "I thought we were here to 'get the kobolds' because they were picking on some halfling merchants. I'm all for more money but I'd love to know how many sides are really involved."

"Oh yes, I forgot you weren't with us for that earlier run-in with the gang when the watch showed up." Roswyn proceeds to fill Shava in on the earlier encounter and their arrangement with the watch captain.

"I think we should go ahead and finish up our investigation here before we meet up with the captain. He can wait."

Shava sighed quite audibly. This situation was supposed to help me avoid politics. People just seem compelled to abuse any minute bit of power they can get their hands on.

"I for one, am not terribly comfortable walking away from this yet. We've already waited hours. For all we know there are individuals down there who have been made aware of our presence and are in the process of packing things up and heading out."

Roswyn opens the door to the interior of the club. Revealing the goliath and the half-elf talking, the messenger speaks up again. "I should let him know you are coming then now then, yes? Oh wait who is that," he says peering inside and nodding towards the dwarf and half-elf.

Rohna redresses her concerns regarding the citywatchs' proclivity toward corruption, then leans in to Roswyn to whisper. "That arangement didn't have anything to do with the new recruits Ros, but we better have our part of the deal done when we go to meet that watch commander." Then she raises her voice back to normal level. "We have no idea how long we might be underground, so I'm thinkin it could be better to finish old business before we crack open a brand new can-o-worms."
