Round 1 Combat Actions:

Rohna mired in the spell cracks her neck to one side as the kobold comes charging forward. She crouches low with her hammer cocked at the ready to deliver a fiery uppercut of a revitalizing strike when the yipping puppy warrior gets in range. "Time to die little one..." Her powerful legs tearing just free of the sucking mud the spell created, as she the power of her swing carries her whole body up into the air for a moment. Her skin becomes steely gray in appearance, as the goliath lands with solidly back on the ground.

OOC: continuing on with the rest of the baddies....

The kobold steps from the back hallway, and moves forward, jumping over the pit. It charges at Rohna, thrusting it's spear towards the goliath. The points of the spear grazes the warrior's arm as she brings her shield to bear, inflicting a minor wound.

The smell of blood and the noise in the area must have alerted something, because the sounds of shrieking and claws on stone sounds from nearby. The source of the noice is then apparent as scores of rats crawl from cracks in the stone behind them. The rats crawl over each other nipping and clawing in pursuit of prey. They swarm together rushing towards the gnome and drow. Most of the rats leap and crawl over the little gnome, biting and any exposed flesh that they can. They have little luck though as the wizard tears them off her, kicking at them to keep them from engulfing her.

rat swarm vs Roswyn ac (1d20+6=10, 1d6+3=9)The rats also make an attack at the start of Roswyn's and Tamarands turn. Here they are now: rat aura vs Tamarand/Roswyn (1d20+6=24, 1d6+3=4, 1d20+6=9, 1d6+3=5)So Tamarand will take 4 damage and 3 damage(ongoing) at the beginning of his turn.[/sblock]

Reeling from his previous failure, prays really hard and points his staff toward his enemies.

[sblock=ooc]Correct. I believe Vertexx was referring to the save that Tondrek provides, though, I'll just count it as the normal save at the end of the round. With an enemy next to Rohna, it doesn't matter, plus Tondrek can keep the power(use it on somebody else.)

I'm excited for the hockey game as well. I will be coming off little sleep though(stupid midnights).[/sblock]

OOC - yes I altered my action in my post above. Is the kobold effected by the spell now that he entered the area? were we going back to just initiative order, or were we still going by post order?

OOC: Going in init order; kobold is affected 2 lizardmen are not(swamp walk trait). Nope didn't do 8, forgot about the thp. big update in morning.

OOC @ R1 - Rohna didn't move she just used her throwing shield originally with a bit of fluff to explain the successful save at the end of her turn. But now she just took a swing at the kobold since it closed with her, no move needed. If she could have moved at all she would have used her passing strike.

The goliath's swing is not quite as she expected as the mud holds onto her feet for just a moment longer than she expected. This gives the kobold just enough time to rock back on his heels to avoid the strike. Her skin becomes steely gray in appearance, as the goliath lands with solidly back on the ground.

[sblock=ooc]See my stat block for current hp and temp hp. The kobolds attack did 4. 3 After DR, so you are at full hp and 5 thp. Also, did you mean to use your racial power? Not listed in your actions, but it looks like it's in your description.[/sblock]

the greenscaled lizardman in the chest, scorching it's hide armor and blackening the scales on side of it's face. The other bolt arcs over Rohna's shoulder, missing the large target of the blackscaled lizard by a foot.

Agh." Shava cries out as her legs slide into the mud. She tries to move forward, but can tell it will take a more solid go of things.

She brings up her dagger and unleashes another bolt toward the lizard but is having a hard time communing with the storm underground. The bolt sizzles lightly but does no damage.

The surge of power does seem to loosen her legs and she feels like she could move again.


Tondrek looks down at his feet and smiles. Neat! Spontaneous generation of acquacious dirt in underground envirornaments!

While that is happening, Tondrek adjusts the magic on his crossbow again, this time creating a bluish bolt. He fires, the bolt slamming into the brute's shoulder and interfering with his aim. Tondrek hops up in glee, realizing distractedly that the mud has weakened in his area.

Tamarand bats and kicks at the rat swarm as they fall over him biting at any exposed skin they can find, but it does little good....as the drow it left with many small bleeding wounds.
