[sblock=Bad Plan]Do we have any way to confirm that the bodies are enemies before engaging them? My guess is they are.

Both Tammarand and Shava have Thunder Leap now, we could try and run in to open the fight with it. If one started at P19 and landed at P14, the other at O18 and then O13, we would potentially hit every square but two.[/sblock]

Although that's blowing up 2 dailies for potentially nothing? I'm fine with readying some actions and sending Mitra through? She might trigger a trap (if there is one) or if the creatures are undead maybe they'd be roused?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Well that's why I called it a bad plan.

Metagaming here, obviously, but Thunder Leap works best against large groups. The dragon is not likely to be surrounded by 20 other creatures. If this turns out to be a room full of minions/level 1 or 2 creatures, then it would be totally worth it. We're talking about possibly scaling the enemy number from 48 to 9. (and looking really cool).

However, if this is set dressing, or some kind of trap, what a waste of two dailies. [/sblock]

Well, we could just walk in there and ready an action to use the "leap" if they attack? That way we keep our powers if they're not a foe, but if they are... we're like Hancock out there! Looking pretty sweet.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Lets not overthink. Generally, you can't ready out of combat anyway.

Have Mitra or Crafty (my homunculus) scout forward and see what happens then us follow (in roughly the same order as before).[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Stonegod's idea sounds good. We should just try to keep the Thunder Leap plan in mind and try to keep PCs from getting caught in potential blast areas, to the extent that is possible.

Roswyn also has an area effect daily remaining. Plus Hypnotic Pattern, which in theory should help clump opponents for better area attacking, although it never seems to work that well in practice. :([/sblock]

"Alright, so why don't we send your bear friend to see what's what Rohna?" Tamarand suggests.

[sblock=ooc]
He's never seen crafty so he wouldn't know about it...at least I don't think he's seen it. I know I forgot about that. So same order as last time? I'm good with that. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Okay, how far ahead are you sending Mitra? Rohna in the lead(open square next to her), then Tondrek/Doggie, Tamarand/Shava, Roswyn? Positions look good on the map? Mitra closer or further? Upate in morning.[/sblock]

Rohna likes that the party has seen how valuable Mitra can be to everyone. She nods to the spirit bear and then down the hall. "Go drag that first body out of that hole Mitra."

OOC - I don't have a problem using Mitra as a test hobbit as long as you realize that she might not set off pressure censures or attract the attention of undead since she is a spirit too. And if she does take 12 dmg, then Rohna takes 7 dmg.

[sblock=ooc]Not sure if the companion can interact with the environment, pull switches(or bodies) open doors etc, but I don't see the harm in this case.[/sblock]

Mitra walks over to the nearest corpse and bites onto it....the party holds their breath expecting the corpse to spring to life and grab at the spirit....but nothing happens. Mitra pulls the skeleton off the shelf. The clothes the thing wore dissolve into dust, and the bones clatter onto the floor.
