[Adventure] Dungeons and Them (DM:johnmeier1, judge:????)

Devinihm, wilden druid

As the others charge into the room, Devinihm rushes to catch up.

"I do not have the speed, but the predator, he can reach farther than me," the wilden says. He holds his staff aloft, letting out what seems like a deep-throated croaking. The rock in the ground behind his allies cracks and rises, and is soon shrugged off to reveal a giant toad. The creature wastes no time lashing out with its barbed tongue, reaching across the intervening space to strike at the dragon, though the creature only manages to create a whip crack in the air.

Immediate Interrupt: Dante will Disruptive Strike on the dragon if it uses its breath weapon: +15 vs AC, 2d4+11 damage and it takes -6 to the attack. If he misses by 4 or less, he'll use Heroic Effort to make it hit.

OOC: Which attack do you want to apply the Disruptive Strike to?

"Not a greeble but a dragon is it? Well, well...," Auntie Mab breathes, pausing a moment to overcome the wave of dragon fear that passes through her.

Then, drawing upon an unexpected inner strength, Mab abandons her usual tactics and steps out into the open shouting in her creaky old voice, "Dragon! You'd do well to leave this place and disband your greeble army. The lord and his estate are under our protection now, and we are friends of the faeriefolk, able to leave this world at will for the fields of Arcadia!," she declaims as she draws upon the power Luran bestowed upon her with a newfound confidence, fixing the beast with the evil eye, and causing it to reel back from the sheer brashness of her invective.

"How do you plan to fight that which can disappear at will?," the old woman asks with a wry smile as she vanishes into thin air, right before the dragons eyes. As if to emphasize the point, a knife flashes out of nowhere whizzing narrowly by the dragon's face.

OOC: [MENTION=73730]johnmeier1[/MENTION] - Would you mind posting the dragon's passive perception and insight as well? And would you like a bluff check to determine whether Mab is able to convince the dragon that she's really left this reality, as opposed to just become invisible?

OOC: Which attack do you want to apply the Disruptive Strike to?

OOC: Huh, I read it as applying to the attack power, rather than a single attack roll. If it applies to a whole power, I'll use it on its breath weapon, if it only applies to one attack roll, I'll apply it to the next attack that targets Dante (only 1 surge left!).

OOC: I checked WotC community and Disruptive works on a roll, I think due to the trigger and immediate interruption. I forgot the dragon's stats at work, so tomorrow

OOC: I checked on the CharOp boards too. Their verdict was also a single attack roll, though they said the wording was ambiguous enough that you might be able to argue.

I won't. :p Next attack that's targeting Dante then.

I am nothing like you! Draglin shouts with rage. Don't say that to me! he shrieks, rushing up to the dragon who swipes out a tail to attack the fighter. Both miss and Draglin threatens the larger creatures.

Max moves forword to get into a position to charge. Shouts in draconic and he finds his mark, the dragon's left wing and goes for it. His sword sinks in deep into the beast. As he rips his sword out of the dragon he continues to taught the dragon in its own language. Dante and Virgil move up, Dante lashing out at the Dragon with little effect on the tough Dragon hide.

The large dragon seems hardly fazed by the hit against its wing and mind. It rises above the floor, below it gold and treasures along with the bones of dozens of animals litter the floor. The glow of light illuminates a larger tunnel half-way up the wall behind the dragon.
I will sear the flesh on your bones and eat each of you in turn. it proclaims and takes a huge intake of breath. With its mouth open, Dante swings his chain around... and misses the mouth of the dragon which pours out fire on all of the front heroes. It seems hemmed in by Draglin and hisses to him.

[sblock=draconic]Back you annoying bug![/sblock]

It sweeps out a claw at the fighter and at Max. Grazing the fighter it impales the warlord who cries out Get'em Draglin! and swings his own sword to injure the claw grasping him. Draglin's attack however bounces off the tough armor plating of the dragon.
