Shariff turns and his eyes glow. Thriel wharu queisig he says and casts Protection from evil on himself. He also gets his sling and stones ready.

IC: Silvercat smacks whichever of the little bony bastards gets near him with his boot/sack/whatever is close at hand.
<Rapiers aren't very good against little skeletons, I would assume.

The Quiet Before The Storm
Corix immediately casts a protective ward (Mage Armor) and steps in to the mob of tiny creatures surrounding the group. One of the Skeletons quickly goes after Devlin and slashes downward with his tiny greatsword (horribly dumb term), with incredible bloodthirst. It's feeble weapon, however, does not manage to puncture Devlin's skin.
Devlin remains unconcious, still breathing after the color spray spell knocked him out. One of the figures leaps up and brings his knife down, but once again Devlin survives the cutting edge of the blade unharmed.
Gregorian takes up a defensive posture, and shouts, "Ambush!" with his rapier readied. Ewald's combat training kicks in and he grabs ahold of one of the little figures, successfully avoiding it's blade and grappling it with incredible form. Ewald tries to crush the figure, and manages to snap it's body in two. It crumbles into dust in the rain, and lightning flashes from the direction that the group is headed.
Ewald catches sight of another trying to dive past with a dagger gauged for Devlin's throat, but he fails to trip the tiny figure as he slips on the wet turf.
Silvercat strikes down with a handy club of wood he acquires from a nearby brushpile, and brings it down on one of the tiny figures heads. Silvercat's attack, however, isn't nearly fast enough to strike the small figure. Gur takes his quarterstaff in two hands, and runs forwards to smash one of the tiny dolls with whatever strength he can manage. His strike misses the doll, however, and he only manages to sink the tip of his weapon into the mud.
Another skeleton dives past Ewald and Silvercat, who each try to stop it's movement. Ewald trips the creature with ease, after recovering from his slight slip. Silvercat follows up by trying to crush it under his boot, crunching the brittle body underneath, almost unintentionally.
Argus and Shariff work in tandem, Shariff warding himself with some incantation (protection from evil), while Argus tries to knock a figure to the ground and then crush it. Argus barely succeeds at tripping the doll, slipping a bit before he brings his attack down on the now-helpless figure. Crushed...
The Thunder from the Lightning that flashed only seconds ago booms over the forest. Four remaining skeletal figures launch themselves onto Devlin. Ewald, Gur, and Argus try to stop them the best they can. Ewald and Gur miss the figures, but Argus manages to strike one, causing it to crumble. The other three bring down their knives on the helpless Devlin, but only the lead skeleton manages to puncture the gear of Devlin, inflicting minor damage (1 point).

"Angus! I'm going over to Devlin!" Shariff yells over the din and runs over to his fallen companion attempting to protect him with the protection spell. When there he will use his small quarterstaff to attack one of the skeletons.
