"Bollocks!" exclaimed Argus over the rising winds, "Seem like I'm off on me own." Argus then notices the skeletons preparing to throw javelins. "Well, dunno what I can do against whirlwinds, but I can..."

He cuts off his inner monolog as he charges the two skeletons to the w-sw of him.

OOC: Not actually a charge attack, just move and hit. And he'll use combat expertise and apply his BAB to his AC, I've got a bad feeling about the twisters.

Just making sure you understand, they can't throw those javelins due to having been knocked down, and held by the current wind. Other than that that all seems fine.

Ewald steadies himself against the wind and looks around to assess the new threat. "Damnit, this is going wrong. We have to get out of here."

Ewald walks around Silver Cat, calling to the strong men of their group. "Gur, Argus, help me lift him. We'll take that way", he says while pointing north where there seem to be less of the tiny figures. "We can't leave him behind. The rest, please cover our path. Is everyone agreed?" Not waiting for an answer, Ewald gets down on one knee and prepares to hoist the unconscious Devlin up.

In that case...

... can we try a knowledge(arcana) to figure out just what these whirlwind things are, and if they're typically aggressive or not?

I'm guessing it won't reveal much, but it's worth a shot.
