As the bandit shifts away from Sirrah, he takes advantage of the opening:
Rava is taken by surprise by the sudden betrayal. She steps back and tries to keep her former employer away from her, while boosting her allies.
"What? Preposterous! I'll rip your treacherous soul out of your burning flesh for this!" The marshal curses, and takes quick repeated slashes at the air with his sword. The ground beneath Jasper seems to crumble into a black void, where black tendrils crawl and grab at him. At the centre of the pitch black hole, a giant eye suddenly opens and looks at Jasper with gluttonous hunger.
As the bandit falls, Sirrah absorbs some of his life force.
Sirrah rushes forward, his weapon now cloaked in dark energy from the dead bandit he had stepped over. He takes a brutal swipe at the other bandit on the wall. The bandit manages to block the attack, but likely won't make the same mistake his ally just did.
Tana's normally sunny disposition is a bit rattled by Jasper and Pumpkin's treachery, but she'd suspected something was wrong with his 'pet' from the start. Abandoning attacking the bandits in the fort for now, she turns to draw some attention away from Hilkalas, closing with Pumpkin and making an attack.
The Marshall weighs his odds and decides to take the fight to the bandit still holding his bow. Focusing his fortitude before quickly moving down the ladder, the marshal's whip is flashing before he jumps down the last few rungs, hoping to distract and injure the bandit.
The bandit manages to swing his bow as Jayce moves down the ladder and hit Jayce in the arm, but it is a minor blow at best.
The first bandit tries to shoot Jayce, but fires wild as he tries to not his hit fellow bandit.
The third bandit take advantage of Hilkalas' tactical error and drop a rain of arrows on Rava and Hilkalas, both of which connect.
The fourth bandit sees an opening against Hilkalas and slams an arrow into his chest, spinning him around back towards Rava.
The fifth bandit pulls out a mace and swings at Sirrah, but Sirrah can tell that his foe is not as talented with weapons as his fellow bandits.
The sixth bandit pulls out a handaxe, slices Jayce across the scalp, and Jayce crumples to the ground. The bandit then starts climbing the ladder and is 5 feet from the top wall.
Jasper looks at Rava and Hilkalas for a moment, and then flees toward the fort. He practically walks through the fort wall. It takes a moment for everyone (except Tana who does not see this) to notice that he actually went through a secret door and closed it behind himself. Jasper is now safely in the outpost.
Pumpkin gets up and bites at Tana, but Tana easily avoids the attack.

Hilkalas hits Jasper and Pumpkin for 6, knocks Pumpkin prone, and heals Rava.
Sirrah misses Bandit 5.
Tana hits Pumpkin for 11.

Terrain: The entire area is wet from the rain.
The road is difficult terrain due to mud. The rest of the area is wet, but it doesn't affect movement.
Cliffs: The entire area is surrounded by wet, extremely hard to climb cliffs that go up for at least 50 feet. The trail is right next to the cliffs on the right and left hand sides of the map.
Outpost: The interior of the outpost cannot be seen, just the walls. In the front of the outpost is a large wooden gate. The bandits on the walls have a cover bonus to all defenses.
Rubble: Although climbable, the rubble is both difficult terrain and has the normal climb penalties.
Note: There are two ladders, one at V13 and one at V19.
The buildings are about 12 feet tall, so one can move from the 15 foot tall walls to a building with no problem. It's just a single extra square of movement.
There are doorways (doors are open) into the buildings at Y17 and Y18, but they are not visible on the map.
