Anton shakes his head and lets an arrow fly at a hobgoblin, trying to make some room for Tandi, "I think maybe you do not know anything about an arrow burrowing deeply into flesh, but neither of those groups are trustworthy."

ooc: [sblock]How did you get 'not terribly effective' from 'Somac hits for 12 damage--not bad for a bow'? And, by the way, Favored Enemy (Magical Beast) here. I have a thing against big gray things. But if everyone really wants to trust the big stupid bone-crushing things than the medium-sized intelligent things, then I pretty much have to go with the group or get killed. Let's just get on with the battle now. I've never been in a game with this much party disunity.[/sblock]

I think if we had had a bit more time before being thrust into combat to talk, we could have been more unified. The PbP thing kind of hurt us. Personaly, I'm all for extracting the girl and making a run for it, but just trying to clear a way first.

Somac: Male Human Bbn 3

Somac is frozen with confusion and indecision for a few moments. He doesn't know who to listen to, so he tries to plod through the situation on his own. Finally, his slow brain decides that the fewer enemies there are, the better. So he'll go after some hobgoblins as they look easier to kill.

However, he still doesn't want to get to close to the grey hulks. So he lumbers a little closer (he wants to get to 40' away from them) and shoots one of his now oversized arrows at a hobgoblin.
