*Suddenly and without warning (except perhaps some grumbling of the hobgoblins in their foreign tongue), two groups of three orcs appear from the low brush from both behind and in front of the party, too far out yet to engage in the melee. Nonetheless, the orcs decide to throw well-balanced throwing axes at our heroes. Six axes whizz through the air, three at Cade, two at A'jardin, and one at Anton, but the nimble halfling draws Alton short and to the side, avoiding the three axes heading his way, while Anton's armour causes what would have been a bloody wound to deflect and cause no injury. The nervous wizard twitches, moving to the side to avoid the first axe but suffering a substantial wound from the other, which strikes true. At least the orcs don't seem to have any spare throwing axes at the moment.*
*Tandi clutches the little girl to her chest protectively, using the gravely-wounded render for cover, and asks, "Are these your pets?"*
*The little girl points up to the protective render and says, "Good doggie," nodding in agreement with Tandi, but then looks over at the other render with wide eyes and says, "No pet scary doggie."*
*Hearing this and realising that the "scary doggie" was probably more dangerous than the orcs, Somac goes into a rage and makes his delayed attack against the aggressive render. A combination of his primal fury and A'jardin's eldritch enhancements lead to a brutal and awesome attack, cutting a truly impressive swath through the creature.*
(OOC:
A'jardin takes 5 damage.
Somac hits for 23 damage (yikes, imagine if that had been a crit!)
It is Dagummit's turn now, and he finally reached the battle, so I'll bet there's a lot of smashing soon toe ensue. Also, everyone who gave me actions, let me know what you do about the orcs (or A'jardin's injuries) and delaying people this is a chance to take action. Otherwise, once I hear from Animus about Dagummit, we'll just keep going with Cade's charge against the scary doggie.)
