Anton levels his arrows at the guards, firing twice.

I'll delay until just after Cade and Rillian. If neither guard falls, they both get an arrow. If one falls, the standing one gets both arrows. If both fall, I'm moving to try to get in range for a CdG.

Rapid shot: +3/+3, 1d8. At +1 to everything if I'm in 30', which I'd have tried to be within if it was feasible, but I don't know if it was.

Tandi attempts to sneak around in a wide circle to the sleeping hobgoblins, drawing her dagger to strike should one of them awaken.

Move Silently and Hide +3/+3

(OOC: Anton, 30' was infeasible due to Darkvision--you launched the attack at 80 feet, which is close enough for Rillian and Cade to charge while simultaneously far enough to be outside the 60' Darkvision radius of the guards and also exactly at the range increment lor Light Xbows. 80 feet is also the distance that a Light spell illuminates if you have Low-Light Vision)

*Cade charges one of the guards and delivers a powerful shock through the hobgoblin's body with a piercing blow, nearly defeating it right away.*

*Tandi tries to sneak around the hobgoblins, but she trips and makes a bit of a spectacle of herself along the way.*

*One of the two guards who noticed the attack in time to react shouts out in Goblin:*
[SBLOCK]
"Treachery! They return to slaughter us in our sleep!"
[/SBLOCK]
*And he draws a sword and slashes at Cade, the blade meeting the tough leather of Cade's armour, deflecting harmlessly. Nonetheless, the sound of the fighting and the yell awaken the sleeping hobgoblins in shock.*

*Rillian charges the shouting hobgoblin, pouring his anger into the blow as he cuts a deep gash in the hobgoblin's chest, though not enough to finish him.*

*Anton nods and takes his sights on both of the injured hobgoblins, firing two arrows with incredible speed, each arcing towards a different hobgoblin.*

*The first arrow strikes into the neck of the hobgoblin who has yet to fully react, and blood drips from his mouth instead of sound as he tries to scream out, falling backwards onto the ground.*

*The second guard raises his shield deftly to block the arrow, which clinks harmlessly off the metal of the shield as it falls to the ground at his feet.*

*Scun moves up to one of the prone hobgoblins with his trusty spear held before him.*

*Cade shouts out as his lance strikes through the hobgoblin, knocking the goblinoid onto the ground unconscious as he bleeds from the huge gash from the greatsword and the smaller stab from the lance.*

*Groggily, one of the prone hobgoblins replies in Goblin:*
[SBLOCK]"Surrender to be slaughtered by those who would come upon us in the night? I think not! Awake my brothers!"[/SBLOCK]

*And he stands up and draws his sword, ready to enter the fight.*

(OOC:

Cade's Attack 19 + 6 = 25, Hit!
HobGuard B takes 9 Damage.

Tandi's turn)

Cade responds in goblin "[sblock]Who are you to speak, taking every last penny from a poor village and not even finishing the job, leaving them in fear of both you and the ones you were to defend them against.[/sblock]"

*One of the other hobgoblins, Jiigral, replies angrily in Goblin:*
[SBLOCK]
"You fool. That's not how it happened. They still have money left, the worthless humans. Now stop attacking, you treacherous scum, or we will fight you cowards back and we will win!"
[/SBLOCK]

In Goblin:
[sblock]"They need enough to survive and rebuild. Don't lie to us, we saw you discussing things with the mayor, and just because the others can't speak in common doesn't give you the right to lie to them. Your deceatful heart makes me sick."[/sblock]

*Jiigral growls and replies in Goblin:*
[SBLOCK]
"Deceitful?! You treacherous snake, you miniature lapdog of the lying worthless humans! How dare you accuse me of the lies that you yourself weave to defend your rampant bloodlust?! May your corpse lie exposed, food for crows, for your crimes against our people!"
[/SBLOCK]

Cade replies in goblin[sblock]"I only speak in fact, and need not resort to such ugly name calling. Is that the only way you can challenge my claims? With childish names? Prove you're not the decietfull man leading his charges down a path of evil."[/sblock]
