"Aye!" Karcer cheered happily, having understood very little of what the Dwarf had said save for 'Kill the ogre'. She did however agree completly with what Sara suggested and voiced it loudly.
"An' then we burn 'is head an' feast!" she didn't mean on the head, but after a moments thought she re-worded. "I means feast on other stuff. Eating peoples is bad." she parroted the last bit, looking to Sara for encouragement.
"Er... off to the stables then? Don't take no more than three horses, I mean it! I don't care what the judge said! And treat them well! Don't get them hurt!"
The dwarf starts stomping off in the direction of the stables.
Sara gives Karcer a little thimbs up and grin. After the advisor has left, she sweeps the map and strange items off the table and hands them to the dwarven cleric. "Here, I think you're the only one of us who does any magic, so you keep track of the things that glow and go boom, right? Right, lets get to the stables, I want a horse plus a donkey and we'll round up all the ponies and dogs they got!" She heads off with a grin adding, "I don't know much about justicars and insurance, but I know how to mess with a supply clerk's plans!"
Fangor grins in agreement of the not eating people statement. He then follows the group, headed for the stables, hoping someone understood the plan, as he got the jest of it, but not as much as he would have liked.
"To battle we go, and to bring back that Ogre dead or alive. Neither matters to me, as long as it is brought to justice."
"Er... off to the stables then? Don't take no more than three horses, I mean it! I don't care what the judge said! And treat them well! Don't get them hurt!"
The dwarf starts stomping off in the direction of the stables.
Karcer was growing quickly bored, she wanted a bit more excitement. Right now. When everyone was busy doing otherthings like talking and whatnot, the small gnome had headed off quickly and quietly to the door. Intent on getting to the stable and starting off right now.
She wasn't sure she could ride though...
The mountains, or crags as they are now known, can finally be seen in the distance. Though they were at one time quite grand, over time they have been racked with both battle and earthquakes. Now the peaks are all broken, distorted, and have been brought low in comparison to their former greatness. One can actually see the fractures in some of the mountains midsections from this incredible distance, appearing painted on by an unsteady hand.
The forests surrounding this region are called the Pines for a reason, not the least of which is the thorns and briars that creep across the ground. Some of them are alive, and it is well known that anyone that can should avoid trying to traverse this forest for fear of what lives within. Only recently have a coven of Druids come to this land to try and restore the forest and mountains magesty as best they can.
As the group crosses the bridge, they can hear the horrible squeeling and bending of the weak wood underneath their mounts. When the horse crossed, one could hear the boards breaking beneath its mass. Now, everyone has worked their way across the creek and is on the other side. The creek would not be much to cross if it were not for the broken ground around it. The creek lies at a basin 20 feet lower than the ground around it, a miniature canyon with water running through the bottom.
Looking out, into the forest, a group could see that although the mountains are visible, the forests stretch endlessly towards them. The map points everyone northward, then northwest, towards the cluster of giant fractured rocks.
(OOC: Where are Sara's skill points listed?)
Karcer:
You can hear voices not too far off, coming from the woods to the west. They seem to be trying to be quiet.
Avlog:
You can see a man, about 50 feet north of the bridge, hiding under a large fallen tree with what appears to be a crossbow.
Groggnir:
You can hear something, though it is hard to tell if it is a whisper or just the wind, coming from the west.
