(OOC: Where are Sara's skill points listed?)

er, under her feats and before her equipment... she has a whole three of them! :D

[since we're skipping a few days] Sara eventually realizes that she can't practice spinning and flipping her swords while riding a horse (at least not if she wants to stay mounted) and saves her demostrations of flashy tricks for the evening campfire. Any who hoped she would sober up, soon find that her gregarious and flamboyant nature is independant of her blood alcohol level. While she is talkative about everything (and in the end nothing of importance) she can be made to shut up and listen by either hitting her with a blunt object or any talk of childhood (hers or the other person's).

Karcer sat upright on her riding dog (whoda thunk? Gettin' a mangy wolf-creature ta wear a saddle?) and swivelled her ear towards the noise. No mean feat...
Sounded like someone sneaking about. Probably a bloody elf. They snuck around a lot. Light feet was something Karcer wanted. But she didn't know an elf to take the feet off.
Asides from that she wasn't sure how exactly she'd attach them to herself.

For the journey so far she'd carried quick a big stick. It had been used for prodding either her incredibly patient dog, or Sara when Karcer needed to ask something. (She was quite happy to let the human talk until her tongue wore out). Hefting it in one hand she prodded Sara with it again. "Shut yer mouth a minute. I 'eard a person wot waz tryin' ter be quiet." Without too much more warning got down off her Wolf-creature and lay a hand on her axe as she moved quickly as she could and quietly as she could towards it.

No bloody giant waz gonna sneak up on her! First she'd take his feet off. Then an ear, just to see if it fit. Then some thought would have to go into it...

((^^; Move silently/hide please and thank you))

Karcer starts to move in the direction where he supposes he hears people. He slinks as best he can to avoid being noticed, but something about the group slowwing down a bit causes the noise to stop.

Karcer: As you approach the treeline, the noise stops, and you can spot someone in a tree above with a crossbow leveled at the direction of the party. He appears to be in minimal armor, hiding in the crotch of a very large tree.

Sara pauses her comentary on amusing elvish names for twin mountains and even refrains from asking what it sounds like when someone is trying to be quiet and failing as opposed to just not being quiet... She reaches back to her gear to make sure she has at least one javelin in reach.

((Karcer is FEMALE! FE-MALE! A FE-MALE GNOME BARBARIAN! ^^;; ))

Karcer headed closer to the tree, she had a fair idea of what was happening, after all she'd done similar things to travellers. Only she'd hide behind a tree and swing her axe at the shins...

Not the point. No bloody giant was going to get the drop, or the bolt on any one of her friends back there. She may have been a lot of things but she had some kind of loyalty. Besides, they were still being nice to her.

Once close enough to the tree she planned on scaring the feckless brevhd out. But then she had a nicer much more fun idea. When she had stumbled upon those fascinating little potions, Karcer had also found some exploding rocks. 'FlashBang' pebbles she'd called them...once she'd recovered.
Why yell when she could use a BangFlash?
Close enough for the tree to be in range, far enough to be out of the disturbingly loud exploding pebbles range, Karcer hefted the strange little stone she'd been keeping in her pocket and eyed the tree carefully.

Not needing a warcry she simply took aim and threw the small stone as hard as she could at the tree the person was hiding in.

((^^; Thunderstone))

Noting the sudden activity amongst the rest of the group, Harwin drew his sword while sliding off his mount and scanning the area around him.

OOC: Creamsteak the spoiler stuff is visible int the notification emails. Maybe it should also have a spoiler heading so that we know to avoid reading it?

Fangor, seeing the others draw weapons and their attention to their surroundings grins....he has longed for battle. He draws his waraxe, and waits. (Upon the sound of the Thunderstone, he will run towards the sound to help out if nothing comes from the other direction.)

I trust you all to be reasonable about what your character knows and doesn't know, but if you want I'll do so. So do you want it?

Doesn't matter to me, as I don't read the emails, only the notification that a new post has been made... ;)

As a side note, for the first time ever I'm running combat in two simultaneous play by posts. I won't let that slow me down though. Expect one combat post per day, so the next update will be at around 9:00 pm tomorrow.

Surprise Round:

Karcer throws a small stone, a thunderstone, into a tree. The loud noise wakes everything in the area up, and sends one of them tumbling out of a tree and onto his back. The person that fell doesn't make much of a thud when he hits the ground.

Karcer:
The target that you hit with the thunderstone fell from the tree, and appears child-sized.

Initiatives: Sara (13), Fangor (6), Thoria (12), Karcer (14), Avlogg (11), Groggnir (20), Harwinn (16), *Gangsters: All (11)

* I'm using simplified initiative for the gang members, meaning that I only rolled one die for the whole group at their lowest initiative bonus.
