Adventure: Just Before Nightfall (DM:johnmeier1, Judge:Ozymandias79)

Tonk nods thoughtfully as the people communicate.

"Hmmm. I see what is problem. You is want to find guy. We is want to find girl, so is best for us to work together, and best way for us to work together is to make friend, and best way to make friend is..."

Tonk does a triple back-flip across the room and smacks the dwarf over the head with his mace.

"TO MAKE WITH THE BRAWL OF FRIENDSHIP!"

Minor Action: Bravo Prey on dwarf (+2 attack and damage until Tonk's EONT)

Standard Action: Charge, ending in Handspring Assault, with Combat Advantage (Sneak Attack), Furious Assault, and Bravo Prey - Attack Roll: 1d20+8+2=27, add +2 for Bravo Prey, for 29; Damage: 1d8+1d8+3d8+5+2+2d6=36+1 (for charge) +1 (for two hands) for 38 damage total.

Shift two spaces away from dwarf (part of Handspring Assault).

Spend Action Point.

Standard Action: Charge dwarf again! - Attack Roll: 1d20+8+2+2=23 Damage: 1d8+1d8+5+1+2=17, forgot +1 for charge, so damage is 18.

Move Action: (Exchange for Minor Action) Activate Daily Power of Vanguard Mace - all party members gain +1 to attack rolls until start of Tonk's next turn.

Dwarf takes a total of 56 damage. (If dwarf went down with first shot, direct second charge at Dragonborn.)

Sorry for all the extra +1's and +2's. It's hard to remember to type in all of Tonk's bonuses.

ATTACKS ARE NON-LETHAL!

Larinza looks in surprise as the heavy half-orc moves with stunning grace across the room and attacks the group we were having a peaceful exchange.

"TONK! What are you doing.." She looks across the room at Dextyr her a pleading a silent question. "Shorrin, stop him before he gets us all killed."

Janus shakes his head in disbelief, readying his orb and bringing a spell of sleep to the forefront of his mind. He moves away from the action taking position behind Shorrin and Larinza.

[sblock=ooc]
Janus is preparing to drop it in the middle of the melee, orc included if necessary.

The dwarven woman staggers back under the assault of Tonk, but does not fall. She draws her warhammer. Her allies, baited by Shorrin and already on edge, react in the blink of an eye. Tonk is threatened by the wand of the spellcaster, the bow of the elf, a crossbow of the crouching halfling, the sword of the nearby dragonborn at his back, and the hammer of the dwarven warrior between his legs. She looks over to the rest of you Is this idiot with you? Either lock him up or we'll put him out of his misery.

[sblock=OOC] Well, it seems that the skill challenge is over. There is no fight/combat at the moment, so I am not drawing up a map...yet. I'll say they were still preparing to leave when Tonk exploded into his "love attack" so you can either escalate or draw down. Roleplay away.

Decision on the skill challenge result will be forthcoming after consulting our new judge. Welcome Ozymandias79

[sblock=Skill Challenge] Just talked with Ozzy and I think we can move forward with the skill challenge. Tonk's "skill" didn't reveal anything other than a reasonably defensive reaction, so a failure to find out anything odd about the group. Everyone has gone now so it is a new round, you can't use the skill you used in Round one and you need 3 more successes before 1 more failure.

Skill Challenge: Insight, Knowledge (History), Streetwise - DC 15, Secondary Skills - DC 20
Round 1 - Successes (Shorrin - Intimidate, Larinza - Assist, Dextyr - Diplomacy, Murphy - Bluff) Failures (Janus - Insight, Tonk - Attack)
Round 2 -

Things were going well. But as Dextyr was quickly learning, with Tonk around one can never know what to expect.

.."TO MAKE WITH THE BRAWL OF FRIENDSHIP!" rang out and pierced Dextyrs ears like a knife and in a blur of motion he witnessed the friendly negotiations he was heading turn into another obscure and sure-to-be misunderstood ritual of pain.

As Larinza looked across the room at him with a pleading look,Dextyr knew he had to act fast.

"He means no harm! Please listen! His ways are different and may seem strange, but this is actually his way of making friends." Dextyr hopes he can calm everyone down before someone gets killed.

As Tonk delivers his second blow Dextyr fears that the Dwarf woman would fall, but miraculously she stood firm. "Is this idiot with you? Either lock him up or we'll put him out of his misery," she retorted.

"Yes he is with me!" Dextyr called out and approached the woman, his hands up in front of him signaling that he meant no harm.

Dextyr looks over at Tonk, who is surrounded by the others. "Tonk, please stand down my punch-brother. These people do not understand the rite of
"THE BRAWL OF FRIENDSHIP". Next time maybe you should explain the rules first and then they will understand how to participate, yes? I know you will do the right thing my friend. Please put your weapon away and we can finish talking nice before we perform any friendship ceremonies O.K?"

Looking over at Hausk Dextyr continues. "Tonk comes from a different land, with many different ways and beliefs. For Tonk the act of aggressive non-lethal brawling strengthens the bonds between friends and comrades and I believe he was attempting to do just that with yourself Hausk."

Dextyr almost holds his breath, waiting to see if he has defused the situation at all or if a bloody brawl will explode
.
'Stupid son-o-a-%!^*#...I should demand a retainer fee to act as his legal council" Dextyr thinks to himself. 'I'll need to get some formal training in "get his crazy a$$ out of trouble"....that or I could just plead insanity...I'm sure that would work...'

[sblock=OOC]
So it seems I posted at the same time as John. OK I'll just edit my post slightly and throw in a skill usage for the skill challange. There - done.
Skill for skill challenge - Bluff roll:1d20+11=25
And if you question the use of Bluff with the descriptive text above, anyone who had read "Can Dextyr keep all these strikers alive" will know that Tonk does not listen to anything Dextyr or anyone else says so what Dextyr is saying IS total BS
