"I have had enough!" Larinza shouts out. She makes 2 furious strikes at the prone vampire but only the second strikes home. Janus follows up with another barrage of ice missiles that fly high over the target on the floor.
"Thank you!" says Tonk to Dextyr. "Okay, now for the get ready to charge again!" He lashes out with his mace, but the vampire rolls out of the way. Tonk hops backwards, swapping places with Larinza. Then, he darts into the shadows, circling around the vampire. In his eagerness to splat the vampire again, Tonk giggles, giving away his position.
Shorrin winks at the vampire, then spins low attempting to take out the creature's knee. He misjudged his distance however and left his hammer short of his mark. Completing his spin, he unleashes his natural weapon... a stream of searing acid. That too falls harmlessly by the wayside, but managed to garner the undead's attention.
"Good warm up swing Shorrin, but the next one should knock his head off", Dextyr calls out to Shorrin, sending a wave of healing magic to him. Dextyr then once again tries to shake the Vampire with taunting magical words, but again they fail to effect the powerful creature.
Murphy again calls on the shadows to assail his adversary and steps back next to the vampire. "Now with your friends gone, it's just the two of us" he jokes with a wide grin. His overconfidence is his undoing as the assassin's blade is turned aside by his foe, after giving the enemy time to recover. One of his shadowlings manages a small bite before return to its master. Cursing, Murphy then draws the shadows into himself, his form turning wavy and insubstantial.
The vampire rises slowly and seems taller and more menacing up close. His red eyes bore into Murphy Yes, just the two of us. You will be my new "friend" The assassin's shadowy form flickers and his eyes glow with the same red of the fiend. The vampire turns to Larinza and Shorrin with a cold gaze, reaching for the warlord with his powerful hands. She dodges his grasp but he slams into her with the other.
[sblock=mechanics] Some low rolls that round gave the vampire time to recover. He got up, recharged Dominating Gaze and used it on Murphy, and hit Larinza once. Everyone can go, but Murphy since I get to chose his one action. No one has a usable action point left in this encounter FYI.

Dextyr once again tries to taunt the vampire but once again fails. He thinks perhaps it is time to change his tactics.....

Shorrin's rage builds as the vampire ignores him completely. "You shall fear me!!"

Kill that one says the vampire, grinning and pointing towards Dextyr. His singing annoys me.

Mechanics are Murphy uses shroud as free action on Dextyr and charges him (attack with sword) You want to roll, renau1g?
Then only Larinza and Tonk go. I have been sick the past two days so hopefully I will be more responsive.

Murphy only nods as he's directed to attack Dextyr, although as he charges, the assassin manages to somewhat turn his blade aside as he struggles silently against the vampire's hold
