[sblock=OOC]Question. Can I use Yield Ground (an Immediate Reaction encounter power triggered by an enemy damaging Talon with a melee attack) after the first hit when the crowd pushes Talon to A3. This would let him shift 3 squares to B4, C4, then D4. This would stop the dwarf from landing the second attack unless he wants to give up using his move action to activate his SW, yes? He'd be able to either move and hit Talon the second time, or use his second wind but not both. I'll let you rule on this before posting the rest of my action so I know where I'm starting from for sure. Yield Ground would also give Talon a +2 power bonus to all defenses until the end of his next turn, but that wouldn't be enough to stop the already rolled 2nd attack.[/sblock]

The dwarf's eyes go horrifically wide as the spear extends and issues lightning into his mail shirt.

Boos issue from the crowd.

He stumbles back a little from the shock, but his eyes quickly narrow, betraying a hint of suspicion, "Where'd ye ge' tha' spear wile-bye." He shakes off the shock, "Ne'ermin'. Ye won' be holdin' i' far long!"

Talon swings hard at the dwarf with Stormshard, but the dwarf blocks the blow with his shield. The force of it runs up his arm though as he realizes that hit would have likely dropped him if it had struck cleanly.

"I be holding Stormshard till I die, which won't be today. You just lucky Dayna staying out of this fight." the shifter says with a nod towards the crowd, where a large female wolf sits on her haunches with her tongue lolling out of her mouth.

The combination of shield and hammer proves effective against Talon. This time the shield pushes him to the perimeter of the ring, and the hammer brings him to the ground, almost unconscious. It's all Talon can do to keep his head up.[sblock=Actions]Shield Bash Recharge: 1d6=6
