Standard: Ready Direct the Strike to use on ally capable of attacking the dragon with a basic attack (would be much easier, if Mervin knew Magic Missle...).

Tactic suggestion.

After the channerler's action, the lightning area is dismissed.
Riardon moves to 22C and uses Calculated Assault.
Mervin moves his fire sphere to 25B
Fenwick moves to 25-A for flanking and receives my damage bonus, if Riardon hit.
Gensai marks and uses his ranged abilities to harass the dragon.
Rujah steps to 22-A and attacks, too.

Riardon will shift his damage bonus to the character with the highest to hit chance.

Magic Missile

Basically, it's now an extremely low damage, high range, single-target auto-hit attack that can still be used as a ranged basic attack. Which in this case, would be great! :) Don't know if I'd take it normally, though.[/sblock]
