OOC: I think there are rules regarding sale of magic items to other players. Aren't there? I seem to remember this coming up in the past.

OOC: Yes. The rules are: you can't do it.

If you do, you pay list price, and some mysterious middleman takes and 80% commission on the deal.

OOC: Bummer. Where are the rules for this? I didn't see anything in the Charter. Is he allowed to give it to me, or can I borrow it?

OOC: I think it's upon my discretion as to whether or not you can borrow it, and as far as I'm concerned, I've got no problem with that, but I'm afraid that you've got to pay list, while WD only gets 20%. The idea was to prevent everyone from seeking out a player who was about to retire a character and arrange a low cost sale of some high priced magical item.

Personally, I'm extremely confederate in my opinions concerning rules of "fairness", but I'm not about to fight a counter proposal for this against the rest of the judges. I remember this debate, and the decision among the dissenters was adamant.

If you don't mind, I could let you borrow it until the next treasure parcel, and simply "overlook" you again, so that you could get it for free

OOC: Ready to go.

Re: WD's item; I wouldn't put it on my wish list, nor would I buy it. There are other items at that slot I like better. But, if I have the option to borrow it until we get to civilization where I can give it back to WD to sell at 20%, I'll take a +1 to NAD. If not, no big deal. It sounds like you already approved this HMG, but I just want to be certain.

OOC: I'm ready, but slow posting on the weekend. I will just borrow the cloak to Tenchuu, show it a merchant, grumble about the money I would get and burn in front of hims for being a miser (the merchant) ;)
