Canus gives a slight, disappointed sigh as the voice of reason speaks up. "I suppose we could hold off on the fireworks while we look for survivors." Canus looks to Maerek. "I suppose you'll still be able to blow this thing later? It isn't every day a man gets to see that kind of sight. Well, not since the War ended, anyway."

Belanaar perks up at the idea of delving further into the mysterious workshop. "So long as there are more freaks in need of arrows between the eyes, I'm game."

He grips his two arrows tightly and nods toward the nearest closed door, motioning for his allies to continue.

Moses bites back hard words at the elf's flippant comment and his stare lingers upon Canus for an overly long time unable to quite grasp his meaning and seemingly annoyed with himself for not seeing something he feels stands right before his eyes. In the end he barks:

"Then let us play at heroe, and then we burn it out."

Canus gives a chuckle, and nudges Belanaar in the ribs, paying Moses no mind. "Who knew our little sister here was a thrill-seeker?"

Maerek looks around, "Right then, let's go. Riann, would you mind watching over him? Also, um, don't let anything damage the furnace. In case we need it later, you know?" Riann nods in understanding and moves so he can watch all the doors. "Well, no use standing around," the artificer mutters as he leads you deeper into the facility.

After several more minutes of walking through hallways, Maerek opens a reinforced door. The revealed scene is absolutely horrific. It is as though someone combined an abattoir with an assembly line. Human and warforged corpses lay in piles, waiting to be used. Various constructs, similar to those you fought before, hack apart and rebuild bodies. You realize that what you thought was another pile of... materials is actually a massive construct. Every few moments it stirs a little, but it doesn't seem to actually be doing anything. If any of the room's occupants have noticed you, they don't show it.

Moses whispers a prayer under his breath as he takes in the horrific sight.

"Let the Storm wash us clean, gone what is, what was, what has been."

As the divine energy begins to flow through his body and intoxicate his blood he watches intently for the others to make their move.

Kalashtar reaches out with his mind, quory lord reinforcing his probe.
"Builder, we want to talk to Thurven. Can we do that?"

"Prepare, everyone, I don't think we'll remain unnoticed for long. Please don't rush out, I have a power that can blunt their powers."

"This is... just wrong. Let's blow this hell-hole. We have no reason to fight with arrow, blade, and spell when we have a massive furnace-explosive."

When Venakhad attempts to make mental contact, all he "hears" in return is a faint buzzing and crackling noise. There is something there, but it can hardly be called a mind. The construct continues to not react.
