"Kopasker lives a few miles outside of town. Or so they say. It is through a dark wood where few dare go. Hunters have mysteriously dissapeared in there. Only the brave, or desperate go there. That would include us, I think. Shall we pack up and go? Make sure your weapons are oiled and ready." says Hallidor.

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Barbarian 3

"Only the brave an' desperate, ha! This bugger made it there an' back, so kin we. Le's be off, mates!" Razh is revved and ready to go.

"Let's go. And perhaps we can put an end to his tyrany over helpess woman." Juliana says, a bit of anger in her voice. She says a bit quieter, more to herself than anyone, "Love potion, I guess that's one word for them."

The party sets forth in the afternoon, heading across fertile fields, and harvesting farmers. It takes over an hour to get into the woods, and within another hour, the trees have become thick and wide. The branches interweave overhead, leaving it almost as dark as night underneath. The trail is sketchy, and Hallidor gets a bit lost, even after quizzing krafia extensively as to the way.

Late afternoon arrives, with the party's nerves on edge and stomaches growling. Ahead, the party sees a small clearing, which allows more light to stream down, and grass to grow. A circle of stones and vestiges of charcoal show that others have camped here before. Oddly enough, there seems to an apple tree at the edge of the clearing. Apples are about ripe now. A shallow pool is filled by a trickling stream. The party stops and looks about.

Noticing not much out of the ordinary, Rasereit strolls jauntily over to the apple tree and jumps up a bit to snatch down an apple. He then walks over to the little streams, dips the apple in, and raises it to his mouth to take a nice, big bite.

"It looks like some kind of animal was barried here reciently," Juliana says, walking closer and pointing out some freshly overturned earth. "We should be careful, as we don't know why it died," she says as she gazes over at Rasereit prepairing to bite into an apple.
