(Adventure) M1: Goblin Ears and the MTG (dpdx judging) COMPLETED

OOC: Um, may I ask what happened with Charlarn's second attack?

Anyway, his third action will be another attack on T4 (standard action; Atk +2, Dmg 1d8+1). I can't reach Nurlan now. :(

[ooc: ah now I get it. I had missed that Nurlan went for T2's weapon. when reading your post about the first round I didnt get that it was him I thought Nurlan had gone for the one directly attacking him. Ah well I'll pay more attention in the future, sorry orsal. next round Tenebrynn will attack T1 with a vengeance.]

I found Nurlan's grab of Telebryn's opponent's weapon a bit odd, myself. I figured he thought he had a better chance for it perhaps. Anyway, Charlyn's round 1 action: cast bless. Round 2: miss. Round 3, coming right up!

OOC: partly that (since it's a light weapon, unlike the longsword) and partly so that he could use it himself the next round. The idea was that it would be demoralizing for his opponent to be facing his own comrade's weapon. But for that to work, T1 needed not to score another hit.

As Nurlan falls, the thoughts running through his mind are "too bold... too bold... should have just..."

Seeing how her target jumped out of reach, giving her room to cast her spell without fearing the sword of the Thug, Irene casts Sleep, aiming to hit Thug 4&5.

Round2/round 3

Irene takes the reprieve to begin casting a spell.

Round 3
Jezibel, seeing her foe retreat, turns slightly to put her back against the wall, and sees Nurlan down behind her. She hurls her dagger at his opponent, which rips a gash in his shoulder.

Charlyn swings his morningstar at the fighter, who blocks it with his longsword. Telebryn strikes out again with his quarterstaff. Nurlan's old foe blocks one side with his sword, but the other end catchs him on the knee, and his face contorts w/pain. (4 pts dmg)

He strikes back at the elven mage, and his blade penetrates the mage armor and gashing the elf's chest. (5 pts dmg) The other two strike at Charlyn. The cleric blocks the longsword with his sheild, but is unable to avoid the rapier, which draws blood on his left arm. (3 pts)

Then Irene's spell takes effect, dropping Charlyn's two opponents into deep slumber. Jezibel then dashes over to pick up the fallen rapier. Irene can still act in Round 3

OOC: I got it. No problem. :)

Before Jezibel's next action, Charlarn asks her to move aside, so he can heal Nurlan.

If she does, then his next action will be to sheathe his morningstar (move action), take a 5-ft. step, and spontaneously cast cure light wounds on Nurlan in place of magic weapon (standard action).

If neither she nor Irene move, then he looses his shield (move action), drops his morningstar (free action) and draws his unloaded lt. crossbow (move action in place of a standard action).

Stumbling from the pain, Tenebrynn looks down to see blood flowing freely from the gaping hole in his robe. Weakly trying to ignore the desire to faint, Tenebrynn continues to try and defend Nurlan long enough for help from those behind him. Grasping his staff more firmly, he tries to wack the thief and would be kidnapper again.

[ooc: Full Attack; Quarterstaff (Double) +1/+1 1d6+3/1d6+1 20/x2]

Seeing how her spell had worked, Irene turns around to face the two remaining Thugs. She screams with a a demanding voice:
"Your allies have been put into a coma, which they'll never wake up from unless I want them to! Drop your weapons, or face the same consequence... or worse!"

Irene takes a 5 foot step back (over the sleeping Thug), so Nurlan can be healed by Charlarn, and readies to slice his throat with her dagger, showing the remaining thugs she's serious about her threat. If the Thugs do not drop their weapons she will cut him down.

[OoC: CDG on the Thug4 if the remaining Thugs do not surrender/keep on fighting]

Round 3/Round 4

Irene moves back to T5, and bends down w/her dagger, shouting to the remaining attackers.

Round 4
Jezibel moves to T5 as well, and takes his rapier.
Charlyn moves to Nurlan and lays his hands on him, chanting his prayer. Nurlan's wounds heal, and his eyes flitter open (healed 8 pts, Nurlan at 3 hps)
Telebryn screws up his courage and continues figthing. He pierces the thug's defenses with one end of his staff, striking him across the face and sending him crashing to the ground.

The final attacker (T3) shouts from the mouth of the ally, "You are fools to cross the guild!" before turning heel and fleeing.
