(Adventure) M1: Goblin Ears and the MTG (dpdx judging) COMPLETED

OOC: How much of the other conversations can Nurlan hear? Let me know, because he may at some point join a conversation in progress.

For now, Nurlan will stay at his chosen table. He will not try to press the people who have already snubbed him, but will keep looking around the bar, as if casually, but actually trying to focus on his friends. If anybody directs what appears to be a hostile action against either Tenebrynn or Charlarn he will most likely take some action.

"That's actually what we were hired to do here. We took a job in the city when we got here. Simple guard work, but now our friend is missing." Tenebrynn continues.

"Oh. You were goblin hunting too. You have the look of an adventurer." He taps his temple sagely. "Staying in town is wise. We should have done that." He now drops his voice, so only Telebryn can hear. "We captured some gobbies. They said they could lead us to their lair. But it was a trap. They led us to a moathouse in the hills. It looked like it had been abandoned for centuries, but No-ooo. It was a trap. There's more than just gobbies out there. They've got spells, and other wierd creatures. Here." He thrusts a scroll case at the elf. "This is the map my buddy Thorndike made. Give it to some foolish adventurers. Maybe they'll have better luck. If they can kill some of those gobbers, the better for us all. But I'm done with it. No way I'm ever going back." He stands, sways and steadies himself. "Whoa. And now, I'm going to bed. I'll be leaving in the morning. Best o' luck to ya!"

"Thank you much for your information. I think we will leave the goblins and this city behind as soon as possible. I hope your fortunes improve." Tenebrynn says to the halfling. After the halfling has retired, he will look around the bar at some of the other patrons trying to decide who might be the best to try and ply for information next.

Seeing the most important conversation in the room end, and nothing of interest happening at his own table, Nurlan gets up to order a drink. He walks over to the bar and says, "Could I have a raspberry cream cocktail?"

What he's overheard has gotten him thinking. The halfling's words run through his head: "There's something behind them goblins!" Nurlan starts wondering if the goblins might just be a front for this all-powerful Guild the group has come against. Jezibel said the thugs had been trying to kidnap her before. And hadn't the goblins kidnapped her too?

Mostly, though, he's wondering about Big-nose and his half-orc buddy. Charlarn must have said something that spooked them. They're probably behind this, or connected with whoever is. And what, besides the privy, is in that courtyard?

After getting and paying for his drink, he'll find a new table and try to make conversation there.

The barkeep scowls. "No raspberry creme here, buddy."

No other interesting conversation is overheard for the next few minutes.
