Ignoring the thrashing crocodile expending its last vestige of wrath, Ferris focuses on the grim form of Jezebel standing triumphant in a miasma of her own blood mixed with her foe's. Channeling the will of his goddess into himself he sends out to the battered tiefling, providing some well earned Healing.

Ferris then wades through the scarlet water, attempting to end this battle once and for all.

And with a quick, almost melancholy effort, Ferris dispatches the last of the crocodile young.

PERHAPS THEY WILL MAKE A WORTHY ENTOURAGE TO ESCORT SIR EXSIXTEN ON HIS RIGHTEOUS QUEST OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, HE THOUGHT, STROKING HIS STRONG CHIN, Sir Exsixten says, stroking his tiny metal "chin".

"No, he's not mine, he is the one I was sent to retreive. As is lost group from Daunton. Would you be that group?

My name is Cyr Iannes, I won't bother you with the list of titles in the middle of swamp unless you ask for it.

There is a gnome seer not far from here that is worried enough to send me after you as condition to revealing information that might help him. Strange fellow, but seems his heart is in the right place.

Cyr turns toward warforged knight.
"Sir, would you be so kind and lower your voice? Our hearing is not (yet) impaired and I'm sure there are more things like these beasts that hear just as well."

Jezebel sheathes her dirtied longsword and then digs around in the nearby muck to recover her whip. While searching, she finally looks closely at the newcomers.

"You have an odd way of speaking, warforged. But it is exactly as you say; we are not peasants, and we do come from the land of justice, if Daunton can be called that. Although I have not yet seen any trees of awesome there."

Jezebel looks suspiciously at Cyr after his introduction.

"The gnome seer sent you? I did not even think of us as 'lost' yet. How did he even know of us?"

As the party finishes off the last of the crocs, you look around to realize that the remainder of the setting sun's light is now gone. The conflagration inadvertently started by Alnar lights up the night though, eerily revealing the dead husks of the crocodiles floating in water stained red with their own blood (and some of Jezebel's).

You still get the feeling that there is something wrong with this place, but with the crocodile family dispatched, and two large fires blazing to light the area and warn away stirges and vines, you think that with your current numbers it may very well be safe to rest here.

OOC: Feel free to rest here, and explore/interact with the area, and RP your characters meeting and backstories as you like. I'm going to go ahead and award XP and time GP for the adventure thus far to the 3 that have been present from the beginning, as they have earned enough by my calculation to level up. Once this award is approved, please make the appropriate adjustments to your character sheets and submit for judges' approval.

As the new arrivals discuss what brought them here, Ferris proceeds, after a short rest to catch his breath, to use Dayna's gifts to close up the wounds and settle the trauma of battle from one and all. All the time lending half an ear to all that is said.
"Ahh, my javelin...somewhat gore-stained, but still servicable..." he mutters to himself.

Ferris sits again for another rest and stiches up his minor wounds. AND rubs cool mud on his burns... glaring at Alnar.
