Not necessarily. Knoepf should make the rolls in a single Move Action (72% chance), so he could take over holding the rope if Hasifar doesn't make all of the rolls.

So if Hasifar makes all of his rolls (37% chance of that happening), or if Knoepf makes his 2 rolls and then takes over rope duty, Tirial could then on her next action get back into the fight and she would have only been on rope duty for one round.

If neither of these happen, then yes, Tirial would need to continue to hold the rope for the +5 to continue.

Course, we haven't heard from VV in over a week, so I'm not sure what he wants Hasifar to do. He might not even want to climb the rope for all I know.

E14 slashes Boruuk viciously in the head. Blood starts dripping into his eyes.

Hasifar climbs up 15 feet. It was only 6 rolls, not 12. The first one fails, so the first move action fails. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th succeed, so Hasifar is now 3 squares up.
E14 hits Boruuk for 10.

Note: I moved Hasifar up in initiative since he was delaying.

Knoepf grabs the rope "Thank the Silver Flame for the rope!" He then attempts to climb the rest of the way, making the first ledge, and then the second!. Knoepf now stands at the top! He then looks towards Artemus and Boruuk. "I'm coming my friends...I'm coming!"
