Seeing that the door is locked as Hasifar tries to open it, Boruuk reaches over his shoulder and taps his greataxe, saying "I've got a key if you'd like" with a gravely chuckle.

"Easy big fella, we don't even know if the orc is telling us the truth or possibly setting us up. I'd hate to bash down the door and find out this place is a captain of the guard's house or something. We could alway knock?" Tirial suggests.

As a reminder, the group has not yet taken a short rest. Here is my information on current status of the group. Please let me know if any of it is incorrect.

Knoepf looks on as the others talk about what to do about the door.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I was assuming that we had taken a short rest. After all, questionning the orc or even waiting after Hasifar who had been talking were not a strenuous activities and could easily take 5 minutes.

It could even have been done off scene between the tavern/slaughterhouse and here.

I might be too used to DM (like me) who assumes short rest are taken after an encounter.

I greatly suggest we take a short rest if we need to announce it officially. And Artemus will take 1 HS.[/SBLOCK]

No worries. We can do short rests off scene and we can also say that this particular short rest has already been done. But it is a matter of letting the DM know what the players are doing so that everyone is on the same page.

In order to find out where PC's hit points and surges are, people need to do the appropriate healing, etc.

I'm trying to not make assumptions about what the PCs are doing. If you want a certain action done, please post it. Please don't assume that I will assume that you did something. This does happen quite often where one player makes a suggestion to the group and nobody definitively says "yes, we are doing that" and then as DM, I sit and wait because a decision has not been "officially" made. Decisiveness on the part of all of the players does make the game go faster, not just for short rests, but for most everything.

It's a simple thing to take a short rest, but someone does need to post that the group is doing it each time and everyone does need to update their character sheets accordingly. Thanks.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I announce we have officially taken a short rest before going to the tavern, after questioning the Orc. That was the best moment to do so. If they others would have disagreed, Artemus would not have gone with teh group, he would have not gone see the local godfather without having all his strength and wits.

Also, Artemus have used one more HS to heal himself to 37/39.[/SBLOCK]

"So, who wants to be the brave one to go up and knock on the door" Tirial jokes.

[sblock=Rest]
Tirial's hp situation is fine, for now, but she'll recover her encounter powers[/sblock]

During their short rest, Boruuk would ask Knoepf, "Hey Knoepf, can you please ask your god to bless me, I'm hurting pretty badly?"

[sblock=ooc]
If Knoepf can use his last Healing Word on Boruuk it would be appreciated. I rolled (if that's ok) healing bonus from Knoepf (2d6+11=16) if Boruuk spends 1 surge this would bring him up to 49/51. which works out[/sblock]
