Acre smiles at the prospect of action.
"Very well. Do you think we should provide some sort of warning to the hired help? Not that they'd prove much trouble in a fight, but it might be best to have them out of the way. Perhaps a little more encouragment," Acre says, making the universal greasing-the-palm sign, "and they will grab some refreshment at the local watering hole. "

Vex still seemed edgy- though she seemed happier now that they were moving. After a few moments, she asked Knoepf "You've been there before, right? Was there any other way in, or anything else you noticed about the neighborhood?"
Knoepf thinks for a second before answering Vex's question. The last time I was there I was invited, along with my party, into the house. A servent ushered us into a room. He later appeared and invited us to eat. It was a wide spread of food Knoepf beams at that comment and pats his large belly. Continuing on...As we sat and ate we began to ask him questions. After a while we were able to tell that he was holding something back or not telling us everything. I called him on it. He then attacked creating a huge wind storm of some sort. We countered, causing him to retreat. As he did so, he stopped and pulled a lever. It was at that time that the floor went out from under us. Knoepf pauses. As for noticing other doors or exits, I saw none, except the door from which he came from. Where that leads, I don't know...
The group follows Knoepf over to Ladoran's.
Outside the door, there are piles of wood, stone, and other building supplies.
The air here feels especially chill as the group enters through the wide open doors.
Inside, they see a group of Goblins hard at work. There is a massive pit over pure darkness. The area is lit up with torches and there are a few side doors. It appears that the Goblins have strung some rope across the pit and are building wooden slats across the ropes.
The group also sees an elderly Human and a Hobgoblin who appear to be arguing:
"Straight. Do you know what the word straight means you bumble headed idiot? Those ropes are sagging. And they're not in the right place." the man yells.
"They're not supposed to straight. Consider them a scaffolding. This is not the final wood that will be put in place. You do your job, and I'll do mine. Don't you have something you should be doing beside pestering me and my men?" the Hobgoblin replies exasperatedly.
