[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! Part 2 (Judge: EvolutionKB)

"There's going to be no killing here. Please leave us be with this noisy man," replies Garrick in a calm voice in goblin language as the workers start to leave the place.

Then he slowly moves over to the old man, and as shadows embrace his body [shadow walk ability] he states in a no nonsense tone. "Shut up. I don't care what you think, but if you keep shouting I WILL shut you up, one way or the other. Now, there's no need to get violent, just answer the questions you're being asked and you'll be able to leave this place unharmed."

The Human stops where he is. He mostly ignores Garrick, but his eyes are clearly focused on Malehan's bow. "Don't kill me." he whimpers. "I haven't done anything to you. To you." the Human says as he starts to shake.

The Goblins wait at the edge of the pit to the left of the door, clearly waiting for the group to move out of the area of the doorway so that they can make a dash for it.

"You seems insistent on the fact you did nothing to me. That's sounds like a man who have done something to other people... like that warforged, or maybe a innocent young girl... maybe we really should simply push you in the hole and ask the goblins to finish the work before you climb back here..." replies Malehan. "How many time will we have to ask it? Where is Ladoran? Or we should ask less politely?"

As the party continues talking to the old man Knoepf notices the goblins hesitate. The cleric thinks a bit. Aghhh...this worked once already. Why not try it again. He pulls out of his coin pouch a handfull of coins (three for the boss and 2 for the rest of the crew) and shows them to the leader of the work force, gesturing he and his goblins crew to come to the door. With a calm smile, points to the exit door as if to say "It's yours if you leave."

A few of the Goblins start eagerly moving towards the Dwarf, but the Hobgoblin calls them back in the Goblin language. He then says in Common "If you will let us leave, we will do so. But you are blocking the doorway."

At these words, the Human reacts "You cannot leave. If you leave, they'll kill me. Don't you understand? They are going to throw me into the pit. He said so. You heard him. Heard him." he says pointing at Malehan. "They don't want any witnesses. Please stay and help me. Help me. You can't just let them kill me." the Human whines again.

At the Human's words, the Hobgoblin looks at Maalehan pointing the bow, Vex gripping her greatsword, and Acre hefting his greatspear. The Hobgoblin hesitates, then says "And he comes with us. If what you said is true that there will be no killing, then you should have no problem with letting the old man go. He's not in his right mind, but that doesn't mean that I should leave him here with you." The Goblins cring a bit at the words, but it appears that the Hobgoblin has more of a backbone than the Goblins do.

"We don't want him, we want his master, he can go, but only once he tells us where we can find Ladoran. Being his servant, he should be aware of that fact. But he doesn't seems to understand the question. As long as he doesn't answer, he stays." replies Malehan.

"I don't know where he is. Where he is. He's often gone. He might be in his room over there, but he might not. He might not. Can I go now? Go now?" the Human stutters as he points to the double doors on the far side of the room.

Vex looked around the group, then shrugged. "Go on then- you've stalled us long enough. If you come back- or if, indeed, we ever see you again, things will be different. We don't think you blameless for whatever part you've played in your master's crimes." Greatsword still held ready, she stood aside long enough to let the goblins and their "friend" move past.

The Goblins start heading out of the building, the Human in tow. He looks heavily shaken by the experience. A few of the Goblins hold out their hands to Knoepf on the way by for the gold. The room becomes deathly quiet as the last of the inhabitants leave.

I'm assuming that like Vex, the rest of the group is going to let them leave. If not, let me know ASAP.

As the Hobgoblin pass next to Malehan, he tells him "You should keep an eye on him on the next twelves hour. After that, I doubt he will be in danger anymore, at least not from us or from consequence of our action." The elf then set back his bow on his back and once the goblin are out of sight. "Let's search this place now. Stay silent for a moment..." he then starts to listen "Vex, stop breathing that loud..."

[SBLOCK=OOC]Perception (1d20+19=29) Bah, that's my passive perception... I was hoping at least to roll a 30.[/SBLOCK]
