(Adventure) Pest removal at unusual height and depth

Loskrad looks at the lump for a moment and considers it. He searches his memories for anything he may have come across in his studies at the academy in his hometown, relaying any relevant information to the group or, failing that, turns to Shadowlyn and responds, "I have no idea."

Shadowlyn can not see any other threats in the immediate area, but finds what the creatures must have been "gnawing" at: a few small rats nearly completely reduced to bones.

Loskrad, looking at the lump, only comes to the conclusion that it was some form of mobile plant or fungus (Know Arcana check - roll 3, +3 Int, total 6) that seems to have some resistance to blunt weapons.

Mintrik joins his buddy Loskrad "Nice swing, finishing off the skeleton."

Studying the lump Loskrad is examining, he asks, "What is it? It doesn't look like a skeleton... There are some nasty things down here, I hope we can handle it."

Looking back at the others, who are questioning if they can continue this little quest, she simply states, "Only one way to find out... Now which way?" She peers down the corridor that they were intent on heading down. If the others are ready, she will continue the path that they were heading in. She would like to find any bullets from the sling that may still be usable first. Then she will reload and move forward, with her dog in front as usual.

"Jack, how do you feel? Are you good to go on?"

"Eh, it's hardly a scratch," Jack replies, stretching out his wounded arm, "but I think it might've been poisonous... I'm a little bit weak in this arm. My sword feels a lot heavier than it is."

Shadowlyn finds that the bullets she shot are all too deformed to be used another time.

The group slowly makes its way further south, and after a short while, it comes to another tunnel facing east, and a short section facing west. It appears that the section to the west originally led to a bigger tunnel, but it was walled of later.

The tunnel you were travelling through leads further south, but with a slight bent to the east.

Mintrik:
You have the impression that you are far enough to the south now, and that the temple would be farther to the east by now.

Mintrik, Human Wizard

Mintrik pauses and looks around for a moment, then says, "I have the feeling we're far enough to the south now... the temple should be to the east"

"Right then... To the east!"

"I'll have young Kiki show you to the entrance and send a runner after if we put our hands on some antitoxins."

Having been poisoned by an abulatory growth of fungus, Jack wonders if the preists ever did find any antitoxin.
