Anything that doesn't become monotonous -- the third room full of goblins should be the last one.

And anything that doesn't take forever -- "We're STILL clearing out the Temple of Ultimate Badness? Isn't fifteen levels in one dungeon a bit much?"

-The Gneech

Variable length: short for dungeons, medium for cities.

Dungeons: lots of creatures of different types, few traps, no puzzles.
Wilderness: lots of creatures of different types, no traps, no puzzles.
City: mostly humanoids, mostly non-combat encounters, no traps, no puzzles.

I want to avoid traps and especially puzzles. I'd rather exercise my brain on tactics and how to socially screw opponents :)

I like a variety of enemies - wilderness (with lots of creatures) and city (with lots of humanoid NPCs, dealt with violently and non-violently).

So why was it left out?

I got two theories: one, he wanted to make people specifically pick their favourites rather than take the "a GM makes the adventure" out and not really answer the crux of his question: and two, if he hadn't, we wouldn't keep up the grand ENWorld tradition of the first post or two on a p[oll always complaining the opions aren't wide enough. :p

Correct on the first part, and the second part is just the nature of the beast.
