(Adventure) Rivenblight's Castaway [Creamsteak judging]

"Are you sure? I think we can get 4 crowns. And doing the sums on 3 and a bit into 4 makes my head hurt.

"Mr Tylkin here seems a succecssful man. I'm sure that he has no problems with us looking around to see what is on offer."

ooc: don't want to drag this out. Jaan will go with whatever Velbrik can get. But he is also willing to have a wonder around the inn and see what else is on offer in term of caravans going through the forest. He curious, but doesn't want to spike the negotiations over it.

TH: I'm happy for you to wrap it up as you see fit.

PS: will be away for 4 days (from tomorrow til Friday night). I'll check back in in 12 hours, but probably won't have much in the way of access after that. Feel free to move things along.

Tylkin smiles as if this was exactly the outcome he had planned for all along. "Three and a quarter crowns it is, unless you choose to work elsewhere. I'm leaving at ten tomorrow."

The comely young woman's brow furrows as the negotiations close. Drat... was angling for a meal here. Will have to remember to tell the others that he's a trifle anxious to have us. I wonder what he's heard...? She smiles and sighs, inclining her head to Tylkin in acknowlegement of his negotiating prowess... Feed the ego, starve the brain... Ahem. Not fair. Damn but I'm getting judgemental. A parade of expressions cross Ioleta's face finally settling into what might be her natural state - happy excitement.

She smiles at the others, quipping at Jaan, "Don't hurt yourself - as the junior party, I will graciously accept the 'and-a-quarter' portion of our pay. As long as I can count on you folks for something to eat if it gets lean." She stands and drains her mug at a toss - a remarkable feat as she hadn't had much time to nurse it. Ioleta tries not to look strained as a burp threatens. Baugh... too fast. Her cheeks color slightly as she reaches down to fiddle with her pack and mask her troubles. Smooth...

Cheeks still colored, but more collected, Ioleta hoists the pack to her shoulders looking at Tylkin. "Ten tomorrow... from here?"

Tylkin
"Three and a quarter crowns it is, unless you choose to work elsewhere. I'm leaving at ten tomorrow."

"Nice, man, very nice." Troi says, nodding. "Three and a quarter it is, then." He rises. "Been nice barterin' with ya. We'll be here a little earlier'n ten, ready ta go when you are."

He looks to the others. "Well, now that we got that settled... what's th' plan from here?"

Tylkin stands with them and smiles. "Indeed, young lady. I look forward to it." He bows and gives a vaguely hinting smile, then glances at the front door and rights himself, his face neutral. "Now, if you'll excuse me..." He strides off from you towards the latest entrant to the inn, an attractive young woman in expensive-looking silks. You catch a snatch of their conversation as he ushers her our again.

"Business, my dear, strictly business. Now, where shall we eat?"

Ioleta pales with wonder at the floating, silk-drenched woman. Beautiful. Such cloth. So graceful. She gives a slight curtsy as the two pass, ignoring that Tylkin and the woman ignore her. Some day.

She rounds on Troi, "What say we find somewhere to stay tonight? She steps out the door, still talking, and into the street, hopping down any steps after her fashion, her voice carrying the odd emphasis of jolting steps, "Somewhere with a bath and a good menu?" She reaches the end of her hopping path and spins on her heel.

Her stomach growls - maybe from hunger, maybe from swill, maybe from hopping - she pats it fondly, if a bit gingerly. Squinting as a breeze gusts down the lane, her eyes study the street, eagerly searching out one of the ubiquitous vendor carts. When was the last time I ate... yesterday? Day before? Getting a trifle... faint. Ioleta pales again. "I need to eat. Soon. Can we find a place to stay and get something?"

Ioleta
"What say we find somewhere to stay tonight?"

"That's a good idea," Troi says, nodding, "but I dunno if we're done yet. We'll prolly jus' go back ta th' Red Dragon, since it's free an' whatnot."

Ioleta
"Somewhere with a bath and a good menu?"

Troi looks to Ioleta and shakes his head, but says nothing.

Ioleta
"I need to eat. Soon. Can we find a place to stay and get something?"

"Ye're pretty insistent." Troi says, raising an eyebrow at her. "I s'pose we could stop by th' Dragon an' figure out what we're gonna do there. Ya can get food while we're doin' that."

Ioleta grins at Troi and bows deeply from the waist, "Insistent, Gruff. Gruff, Insistent. Nice to meet you." She raises from her bow, cloak swirling around her tooled boots. She cocks her head, chin jutting slightly, considering Troi from under lowered lids. She spins on her heel... Whoa... need to cut that out. Getting dizzy. ...and heads off toward the Red Dragon. About three steps away she draws up short. She turns around and heads the other direction, stopping after several paces. She turns to the others, "I'm turned around. Which way was the Red Dragon again?"

Once directed she ranges out in front of the group, her step as light as her head. From hunger.

OOC: Out again starting tomorrow. Will post again tonight, if I can. Will be back Sunday night, but may not be able to post until Monday. Sorry, again, for the short notice, and the disruption.

Ioleta

Troi shakes his head. "Whatever."

Ioleta raises from her bow, cloak swirling around her tooled boots. She cocks her head, chin jutting slightly, considering Troi from under lowered lids.

"What're ya lookin' at?" Troi asks, raising an eyebrow. "Ya should stop that, ye're gonna hurt yerself."

Ioleta
"I'm turned around. Which way was the Red Dragon again?"

Troi sighs. "That way," He points in the correct direction. "How 'bout ya just stick with th' rest of us, y'know? Ye're gonna get lost if ya don't even 'member where th' Dragon is."
