(Adventure) Rivenblight's Castaway [Creamsteak judging]

"When you come back," Troi whispers, "I'll head out inta th' woods an' look fer tracks. Dunno how easily I can follow 'em, but if I can catch up with some of 'em, I could try ta draw 'em into th' road."

"Should I come back right now, then, or look around some more?" asks Velbrik. "I'm not the greatest sneaker, and my potion won't do me any good if there's nothing to protect against anyway."

"If ya don't think yer gonna have any luck, then I'd say come back now." Troi whispers. "Th' sooner we get 'em outta th' woods, th' sooner we can bag 'em."

Velbrik whispers, "All right, I'll head on back." He creeps toward the trail, staying hidden while waiting for the wagon to catch up. When it does, Velbrik slides back into the position he had previously been guarding.

Troi watches for Velbrik's return as subtly as possible. When the bard is finally back, Troi nods to himself.

"Right... going now." He whispers.

He looks to Ioleta. "Watch th' road, an' try ta ignore where I'm goin'. If ya see somethin' movin', though, an' yer sure it's not me, shout, eh?"

With that, he moves into the woods on the left side of the wagon, doing his best to be quiet and subtle; he also tries to keep within hearing distance of the wagon. Once in the forest a small distance, he starts looking for tracks.

Hide +2, Move Silently +8, Survival +7.

Jaan listens to the exchange, but leaves it up to Velbrik and Troi to decide. Its more their territory than his. He keeps pace alongside the wagon, and a watch on the forest around.

ooc: I think Jaan cocked and loaded the crossbow, but if not, he'll take a moment to do so, first pushing forwards to up to level with the horse, then doing it. He should be done before the wagon has passed i think (move action?).

"Got it. Eyes on the road." Shortsword bared the young woman keeps pace with the wagon, adrenalin and fear have made thoughts of the heavy pack on her back vanish.

She glances up at Tylkin and chews her lip, "So... uh... how mad are you?" Eyes scanning the road ahead she grimaces in wait of his repsonse.

"Exceedingly," Tylkin deadpans. "I rather expect I shall turn you all into the guard the moment we get into a suitably large town." Ioleta and Velbrik think that he's probably joking. Probably. He pauses for a few seconds. "In any case, I doubt you shall get a reccomendation for your next job. Where did that scruffy young fellow get off to?"

Troi, meanwhile, kneels next to a small bush, its leaves slightly askew, and a faint booted footprint in the pine needles pointing east, away from the road. It looks like they've tried to cover their tracks. He thinks three, maybe four individuals.
