[Adventure] The Cannith Caper (Judge: THB)

After securing travel documents, transport and information the group sets out. Kirska the dwarf and Rook the halfling remain behind to tend to their personal matters.

The travel is relatively easy along the Orien route, but it still takes about three and a half days to New Cyre, then another four and a half to get to Kennrun. You travel through the Dargunn border with little difficulty having the proper documentation although you get a bit more thorough look than many travelers due to the odd composition of the group and the armaments carried.

You reach the foothills around the mountain and with the detailed map of the location of the hidden path and the arcane device that Miranda gave you, the group reaches the path that leads to the Creation Forge.

Ok, so please let me know marching order. I PM'd thaco and no response so I guess we'll go with 5. 2 strikers, 1 controller, 1 leader, and 1 defender. Good group and the smaller size should keep it moving a bit faster.

Haltor keeps abreast of the party and sometimes ranges about, enjoying the open air and freedom. White-Eye and the old man are in their element.

At the path, Haltor eyes the trail. He then turns to Varak. You got a better eye than us. Best you be near the front. I'll follow ahind, with Vist in the back and the others a'middle. Worked when I had to navigate the Valley of Murder, should be fine here.

Vistrathis nods to Haltor and moves to the back of the pack, keeping an eye out to the side of their trail and every once in a while taking a gander behind them.

"That is a spectacular idea, Haltor. That tactic will ensure that the group will be protected in case of a rearward ambush, and we'll have our sharp eyes to the front should anything befall us while we continue onward."

The half-orc looks comfortable, if a bit odd astride the Valenar horse. Both blades are propped against his shoulders, as he guides his mount with his knees. The half-orc chews his bottom lip, craving a bit of pipeweed, but knowing now was not the time. "Aye I'll take the front. Let's keep an eye out for a place to keep the horses. Hopefully those spells you were talking about don't find them."

[sblock=ooc]I'll take the front. Passive Perception: 18. I'm assuming he haven't stashed the horses yet? I've got +10 to stealth as well, so I can do some scouting when we get a bit closer.[/sblock]

"Uh, sure, if you think that's best Haltor, thank you for watching our rear. The military manuals I've perused mention how ofter the rearguard is paramount to the success of an expedition. I'm glad to have your experience" Alex says as he rides in the relative safety of the middle.

thaco's in the game in L4W with me and he's posted there. I sent him a message but didn't hear from him.[/sblock]

Harressh seems satisfied with his companion's tactical plans, taking up his position in the middle of the group. His mount seems a bit skittish, but the dragonborn is able to handle it well enough.
