Mid-Round update - only Varak to go

Varris! Our dragon here could use a little help! Leaving it to the bard to help Harresh get out of the stick situation, Haltor stepped forward and rushed toward the hob giving the dragonborn trouble. Using his momentum, he undercut the bigger foe's legs, following up with a swipe to the chest. He then bellowed to the others. C'mon! If I can cut them down, surely you can!

Gark cackles with laughter and runs haphazardly over beds and debris to the center of the room. "Did I tell you you could get up!" he taunts the hobgoblin he struck before as he slides up next to him - all the while lightning begins to arc up and down the blade of his glaive. With a quick flick of the wrist, his polearm smashes into the foe yet again, hitting him in the chest and then sweeping him off his feet. The back of the glaive catches and digs into the hobgoblin's leg as Gark swings him around like a ragdoll and tosses him on his back behind the bugbear and the smaller hobgoblin (barely missing Varak in the process). Finally, at the end of a fluid motion, he holds the glaive sideways with two hands and thrusts it forward as the lightning builds to a head: it explodes into a powerful clap of thunder. The three are blown to the back of the room; the smaller hobgoblin never moves again, the breath knocked completely out of his body. Gark laughs wildly again at his handiwork. "This time you'll stay down if you know what's good for you!" he taunts.

The hobgoblin will not be getting up.

Varis moves up and shouts magically at enemies and allies alike. While there is no reaction from the enemies, both Haltor and Harresh recognize the signal to move.

"Sorry, you'll be going hungry tonight," Harressh says, laughing, as he slides over towards the wall at Varis' signal. "But you won't mind much, because you'll also be dead." Fire and light leaps from his scales, scorching the scimitar wielder and bowman up on the ledge, who falls screaming. The dragonborn opens his jaw wide and lets out a mighty roar, the force buffeting and bruising the scimitar wielder on the ground in front of him. Harressh twirls his staff and makes a cutting motion, stepping through an invisible door to reappear up on the ledge.

[sblock=ooc]It's not over yet but I just wanted to say good job so far, all! We've turned an ambush completely around in two rounds! I think everyone's done very well.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC (Waiting on Varak?)]Well, there is still Fissure. Though, I think he's got the better chance to survive, even being two levels lower.

I guess Varak is all we have left?[/sblock]

Varak quickly settle a shroud over the bugbear, a shadow falling over it's midsection. The half-orc moves over to the prone scimitar wielder and thrusts hard with the blade in his left hand. The blade slides between it's arm and side, bouncing off the floor. The half-orc is already moving though, his blade nicking both foes as he passes. The bugbear is in his sights and the barbarian charges but again the prone form of the bugbear throws his aim off.
