After several hours of fairly difficult climbing the group reaches a flat area that opens up from the relatively narrow pass that you've been walking up. The area is littered with thorny bushes, scree, and large rocks that look like they've tumbled down from above. A tall cliff rises above it and you see a cave about 150' ahead of you. A great deal of debris lies near its entrance. To blow a hole in the rock of that size some arcane device, likely an explosive of some kind, would be required.
