As Vistrathis stares at the contraption in the center of the room a few passages from several books passes through his mind and it gives him an idea.
"Everyone! Forget the warforged! Go after the contraption in the center! It's providing energy to all of the warforged. Kill the device and you kill the warforged! Harresh, Varis... stay behind me and help me disrupt the device's arcane signature! Varak and Haltor, do what you do best and start ripping pieces out of the device. If we can't break it arcanically, maybe you guys can do it physically! I'll do my best to keep everyone safe, but it is likely that these warforged will try to protect this machine!"
Moving closer to the device and staying in the entrance-way, Vistrathis stares daggers into one of the more distant warforged, the sigil on his palm growing warm.
"Stay still, you stupid steely structure!"
After feeling Vistrathis' gaze, the warforged sees the ground before him fall away into a deep chasm, leaving him at a precarious precipice.
With the way to the device clear for his more physical companions, Vistrathis allows his senses to extend to the magic spectrum. Once he sees the devices magical energy waves, his senses become an arcane shield in an attempt to block the signal between the device and the warforged. The swordmage slowly expands this shield, trying to create a cocoon around the device.
"Good plan. Come on everyone, that couldn't be that hard!" Varis cheers everyone up. He follows Vis and the arcane presence of his mark and blood begins to unravel the opposed magic. Mini lightning burst creep over the constructs.
"I'm not very good with arcane devices," Harressh mutters, but tries to follow the gith's plan. He steps forward and concentrates on the device, trying to drain heat from its conduits to plug them with ice crystals, but he can't sense the right spots to attack.
Varak moves over to the device, and sheathes one of his blades before grabbing a handful of copper wire and giving a mighty tug. With the foes around him, he can't concentrate, and he loses his grip.
Haltor looks at Vist a moment and shrugs. He hups the wounded White Eye into action, bounding through the room to stand next to the halfork and the machine. Then, belieing his size, Haltor dislodges some of the arcane components by brute strength and the use of his talenta as a lever. Dropping it, he adds,
Lets hope that didn't break some useful, heroes. As the halfling holds the pieces of the device a jolt of lightning explodes from it. It catches him off-guard and causes some minor wounds as it courses through his system. Varak and White-Eye dodge the worst of it.
The warforged begin moving closer to those near the arcane device, the ones from the north focusing on Haltor, while the ones from the south and east move towards Varak. The one that has the sheathe of flesh begins circling towards the south. The warforged targeted by Vistrathis speaks
"Unit unable to advance. Diagnostic check failure." in broken Common.
Haltor gets slammed by the smaller warforged, but manages to dodge the clumsy, larger foe's slam.
Varak is caught in the back by one of the smaller enemies and sent sprawling to the ground. The larger enemy takes advantage of the fallen half-orc and slams him in the back as Varak's vulnerable.
The device glows for a moment and suddenly a shockwave explodes near the spellcasters, slamming into Harresh and Varis.

Everyone goes first. Would you guys prefer a more free-formed Initiative style? I.e. the common Mal's Rules method. I'm indifferent. Regardless you all go first.
Terrain: Rubble on the floor is difficult terrain
