(Adventure) The Island of Varras'zul (Manzanita Judging) (Concluded)

Scun smashed his club into the creature's side, breaking a few ribs with the strength of the impact.

(Attack: 12 +5 =17, Damage: 3 +4 =7)

Ogrin's turn

OOC: Preemptive post, keep things moving, plus I have a paper to write so I may not be checking back for a bit...

Rasereit gasps, recovering from the creature's blow. "Ah ha... Well, now we have a real enemy! Let's get t'fightin'!" Weapons already drawn, he flies at the monster, eyes gleaming with gleeful battle-fury.

A number of ironic or sarcastic comments race through Ogrins mind, but he decides not to share them, instead just muttering curses under his voice. He drops his dagger (doubting it's efficiency against such a creature) and put his sling in his mouth while climbing the nearest cage, bracing against the wall for support. When he reaches the top, he carefully walks over to the edge nearest the monster while readying his sling for an attack.

OOC: DC -5 if I can make use of the cage wall as well as the rock wall. If accelerated climbing would allow me to make an attack, I'll take the penalty, otherwise, just a double move and ready weapons this round.

Nezrak sheathes his sword and prepares his crossbow, not wanting to get close to such a creature in his present condition.

Ogrin tried to climb to the top of the cage, but misfortune was in his way. Whenever he got a foot or two above the ground, his grip would slip and he would slide down. He tried again but suffered the same unfortunate result. At the moment, he just couldn't seem to get a firm grip, even with the rock walls to brace against.

(Climb1: 4 +7 =11, Climb2: 5 +7 =12)

oog: Ogrin is in V4

Rasereit began his furious attack upon the giant skeleton. Though rage fueled his blows, the fleshless monstrosity was too quick for the dwarf this time. He failed to connect with both axes.

(Attack1: 1 +5=6, Attack2: 3 +5 =8)

Nezrak's turn. edit: Nezrak posted the same time I did.

Nezrak sheathed his blade and drew his unloaded crossbow.

Mona stared at the battle, shaking her head both at what Razh's recklessness had wrought and at the size of the skeletal creature. This time, she did cast neither blessing nor healing. Apparantly, the followers of Hyrag were subject to the same times of prayer as the followers of Mongrel.

Rillian's turn

Rillian will move to S6, drawing his sword as he moves (YAY +1 attack bonus!), tumbling the last 5 or even 10 feet if it looks like an AoO is likely, and then finally attack.

Rillian moved swifty and deftly into position, drawing his blade and tumbling to cover the openings in his defense.

He stabbed at the bony creature, but it dodged his attacks nimbly.

(Tumble: 18 +5 =23
Attack: 4 +4 =8
)

Code:
Round 2:

23 Caged Remnant [7 damage]
21 Scun [19/19, 1 dex damage]
20 Ogrin [14/17]
19 Rasereit [4+4/27+4]
14 Nezrak [3/9, 3 dex damage]
12 Mona
07 Rillian [13/13]

Misfortune continued to haunt the dwarf.

The bony beast ripped into Rasereit with vicious claws and sword-like fangs. With the dwarf shieldless and reckless in his rage, he was an easy target. In mere moments, long horrid wounds covered the dwarf's body from the creature's bony claws. The pain was intense and threatened to break through the crimson haze of his battle-fury and bring him into unconsciousness.

(Attack1: 15+9=24, 4+8=12
Attack2: 11+9=20, 2+8=10
Attack3: 2+4 =6
)

Scun's turn

OOC: Posting out of turn to speed things along a little... going to bed here in Sweden.

Ogrin continues his climbing excercise. If the wall looks easier, he'll try that, using the cage as support instead. He'll attack as soon as possible when on top.

Scun cries out as Razh takes vicious blows. "You won't get away with that!"

Scun adjusts his position to make more room for others to engage and then he lets out a roar and fights savagely.

oog: 5' step to R6, rage, then attack with club

Round 2:

23 Caged Remnant [17 damage]
21 Scun [19+4/19+4, 1 dex damage]
20 Ogrin [14/17]
19 Rasereit [4+4/27+4]
14 Nezrak [3/9, 3 dex damage]
12 Mona
07 Rillian [13/13]

The battle intensified around the skeletal creature that dripped with Rasereit's blood. With two of its enemies in a berserk rage, the odds appeared to be against the Large fleshless monster.

Scun struck a terrible blow upon the monster from beyond the grave, breaking more bones and fracturing those that would not shatter. It turned toward the half-orc, claws ready for more blood.

(Attack: 15 +7 =22, Damage: 4 + 6 =10)

Ogrin scrambled up the cage in front of him. Once atop the metal prison, the halfling took the sling from his mouth and loaded a lead bullet. From where he was, his companions did not provide the skeleton with cover, though there was still the problem of shooting into the frenzied melee.

(Climb: 19 +7 =26)

Razh's turn
