[Adventure] The Lost Treasure of House Cannith (Judge: Evilbob)

Colgrave, completely unharmed, sits brushing the dust from his silk jacket as the others scrape themselves clean of ooze and nurse their wounds.

"I call that a fairly auspicious entrance to the Mournlands," he says cheerfully. "Our first wave of unnatural horrors vanquished, and nobody dead. I do however feel rather shamefaced with regard to my indecent good fortune in being, apparently, such an unappetising meal."

[sblock=OOC]Regarding Kaelen's situation - Thalin's extremely handy Comrades' Succor ritual means that we don't need to worry too much about Kaelen's disportionate healing surge usage, since if he ends up broke while the rest of us still have plenty, we can always transfer some to him.[/sblock]

GM: That is true, Anti. Comrades' Succor is a really awesome ritual. :D

Also, something I didn't mention earlier but feel I should. This fight does not earn you a milestone, for those interested. I'm sure that will get asked later, so I wanted to toss that out there.

OOC: Yeah, with Song of Rest going, it should only take 3 to max Kaelen. one brings him to 15, two to 29, and three to 43, which caps you at 41 :) Yes, Comrades Succor is an amazing ritual, I figured being a solo healer, I should be able to be as efficient as possible, and there always seems to be that one character that never gets hit and stockpiles surges. Now, all your surges are belong to us!

Post Battle 1:

Karananak just plops down unceremoniously into the middle of the road while those still wounded, tend to themselves. "No dis ere was seemin tuh be dee verse it own wuh slappin us loat up side dee ed wit uh strong dose uh sense den. Most airy time we be tryin tuh it duh ting wit claw uh swad it evade, but den we be blastin dee ting tuh bits from dee safety oh dee mist." He shakes his head which is followed a moment later by the shaking of his massive afro, like a shadow of black leaves in consternation.

Eve comes rustling out of the afro, peeking this way and that as if the leaves offer some kind of protection.

[/sblock][sblock=OOC]After being dropped to negative HP, Karananak managed to end the fight at full health. Those healing auras were sweet.[sblock=Translation]It seemed as if the universe itself was slapping us lot up the side of the head with strong dose of common sense. Almost every time we tried to hit the thing with claw or sword it evaded, but then we blast it to bits from the safety of the mist.[/sblock][/sblock]

OOC: That's really amazing. Nice job people, this way I can still go out there and play pseudo-defender. Kaelan spends 3 surges then.

"Well, that small break left me feeling much stronger than what I expected. Even more reason to start moving once again. Let's move people."

Once Thalin sees the two wounded members have adequately regained their strength, he’ll stop playing and return the drum to it’s notch on his belt. I don’t fancy spending any more time here than is necessary, so I think we should press on.

Karnanak rummages around the corpses, but doesn't find anything of note. The only things he finds that are even recognizable as what they truly are are the clubs the two-headed monsters were using. They look battered and liable to break at any moment.

When they group is healed and ready, they march on. They don't see anything more than they did earlier through the mist and it continues to flood in and then recede out as before.

After about another hour of boring, seemingly endless wasteland, they finally come across the beginnings of what looks like a town.

Karananak moves forward with cautious purpose between the outermost buildings, having already been eaten once today. He points to the center of the group of structures questioningly.
