(Adventure) The Monestary of Saint Feragon <Judge:Macbeth>

While the dwarves and the elf figure a way in, Sir Ishmael keeps a watch upon the woods, especially in the direction where they left Bron and the mounts. Once they get in, he follows suit with his warsledge and his shield at the ready.

OoC:Sorry foks, away from the comp today in a 'Munchkin' marathon,
yeah S-J-Games!

IC: Aranel amd Rurik mover along the parapet looking for an entrance as the others keep a low profile in the lee of the Parapet. Sir Ishmael keeps watch on the Woods, just able to occassionally make out the movement that signalled one of the horses tails or heads. Bron was there as well,and he briefly waved at Ishmael, spotting him on the wall looking out.


Aranel makes the short leap across the interveining space t a window slit, reaching out and pulling Rurik over as well (Rurik's Escape Artist check was successful).
The two 'fall' into a hallway in the Second Story of the monestary, noticing thai it is a long hall with several doors as well as suits of armor lining the walls (past heroes, no doubt).

Aranel leans back out, waving the other PCs over, oblivious of events unfolding inside...

Rurik looked about, keeping his eyes sharp and his weapon at hand.

A sudden force slammed into his back, feeling something rake across his neck and shoulders<3HP>. Turning, he sees a Man...or what was a man once not so long ago. The Feral Monk wears a habit of pale green, though it is both torn and blood-splattered. A once shaven head now sports short and spiky hair, and the man's eyes are yellow and slitted, like a Cat's, Fangs and long black talons complete Rurik's assessment that the man is hardly a civilized fellow at this point...

Aranel hears the commotion behind her, turning to see what has just happened.

The Feral Monk is in melee with Rurik, Aranel is 10' away.

<Ugh, he had a MS total of 23...Rurik had a 9 Listen, and Aranel had a 12, sorry folks..., Oh well, MORE XP!!!

Telerin,Whitefang and Sturm heard the attack, Ishmael and Kirin did not. You are all 40' away along the wall and outside. It will take a full round to safely get inside (Escape Artist check DC 5 for Sturm and Telerin), or an Escape Artist check of 10 (15 for Telerin and Sturm) to jump through on a normal move. Whitefang can easily jump the 5 feet and get inside...>
 

OOC: Well, I knew what I was getting into when I got that Wisdom of 8. I think that combat would end far too quickly. Good hunting and holler if ya need help. ;)

Sorry, didn't specify what the Listen did. Telerin and Ishmael have a lower Initiative as a result, they can still act.

*: A Natural 20, and I deem such things as goin First, so he can try and leap through a window (or carefully jump and climb through) before Rurik and the Monk exchange blows again, though he is still 40' away.

"Arrr, ya sneaky little git!"

Rurik turns toward the feral monk and slams his waraxe into him [normal attack action].

"Got a live one!"
 

Hearing the noise, Telerin sighed. Should have expected some kind of attack sooner or later, "Go help out Whitefang, we're right behind you!"

((OOC: I'll take the full round action for Telerin to get there...slow way is the safe way. :) If he listens, Telerin's sending Whitefang ahead to help Aranel and Rurik.))
 

((*Grumble* ferals...rargh))

Aranel turned in time to see a cursed feral attacking Rurik. Swearing in elvish, a strangely song-like string of particularly nasty phrases reffering to the parentage of the creature that had turned the once-man to a beast, she drew 'Surprise' and took aim before letting it loose on the creature.

Just as well the Dwarf was short. It left quite a bit of human to aim at.
 

"Oi! Why can't ye wags strike when there's not' in my way fer once?"

Sturm will take the full round to get inside, readying his scythe once he's through.
 

Sturm <20> leaps over, pulling himself through the window with ease and landing upon a stone floor inside. Sturm can clearly see Rurik battling someone in green robes not 30 feet away.

Rurik <19> swings his Waraxe, catching the Monk by suprise, taking his head clean off in one sweep <Crit, 25 HP...Ugh!>.

Whitefang <18> leaps through the opening and lands inside, sniffing about and staying on guard.

Kirin <15> takes a running leap and lands inside the wondow, a very impressive leap.

Aranel <14> suddenly finds her target a whole lot harder to hit, as it now lies upon the ground in a heap, blood pumping from it's severed neck-stump...

Telerin <8> steps over, then reaches back, giving ishmael his hand in aid, and the halfling swings over as well.

Ishmael <4> As above.

Now all stand within a long hall lined with doors on one side and the windows on the other. Past Aranel and Rurik, the hall turns off and continues in another direction, this beyond your current ability to see.
