"A single Feral Ogre is danger enough, with other Ferals we will likely be killed."
"That would be true, indeed. These cramped surroundings favor us, at least, to stem the waves of beasts that would come. My master was a dwarf and he said that many dwarves were taught how to fight with lumbering giants. I would imagine that this ability and these walls would aid us much."

"Foolhardiness would not but who am I to talk?"

Sir Ishmael brings his attentions upon the dwarves on the fore of the group. Should they start their descent, he would not be far behind with sledge or sling.

(Ogres? That'd be one for the family journal, if indeed there are such in these halls...)

Rurik cocks an ear over to Ishmael and the others, and listens to them discuss the tracks, while keeping an eye on Sturm in case he heads down the stairs...

[Rurik's got natural bonus vs. giants, and isn't generally afraid of anything, but it would be the first time he's seen ogres.]

"We waitin' on summat?", asks Rurik softly to Sturm.

Telerin watched the two Dwarves a moment and then looked towards the stairs they were debating going down. He said nothing, but kep his bow ready. It was very possible they were going to be charging right into the center of everything...

OoC:OK, with GP awol, votes for the rest of you folks as to what to do?

Sturm's vote remains the same -- go on downstairs. If everyone concurs, he'll head right on down, leading the way with his scythe ready, and trying his best to be quiet about it in the process.

The band descends the stairs, Sturm and Rurik in the front, Ishmael and Telerin behind (with Whitefang alongside). Kirin and Aranel bringing up the rear.
The further they descend, the louder the drumming and pounding becomes.
Rurik and Sturm both note that soon, you are underground. Finally, after descending some 20 feet down, the stairs end at a large door, slightly ajar. There are tracks (clawed as well as barefoot human and booted) on the dirty flagstone. As well, there are traces of blood.
