[sblock=ooc 2] Alrighty! Now that I'm all caught up and my brain is no longer a wet mushy pulp I can start posting again.

Kinion, please roll your attack for eye-bite and post the results. Once that is completed, I'll NPC Gurdan if he doesn't post before me. I am assuming that Grryth is going to go last, as he has continued to delay his turn. You can post your actions any time you'd like. [/sblock]

Well as you guessed, Grryth is delaying till everyone else goes.
That leaves Kinion & Gurdan, and then I will act.

[sblock=OOC] Ahh, I had missed that HT had updated his post. That means that... Dum duhdee dummmm! You guys have KILLED THE MESSENGER!! I'm swamped at work right now and have to leave for school, but I'll post an update tomorrow morning!![/sblock]

Gurdan raises his arms backwards, preparing to attack- every bit of his dwarven might merges with the the very power of the earth. As he begins to let out an enormous roar, he brings down his warhammer and...

He stops.

"This thing is already did, isn't it? Ah, Gods! I was just getting warmed up!"
Gurdan seems genuinely disappointed.

Lo-Kag walks over to Gurdan and gives him a punch in the arm. "Don't be to disappointed friend. Before this is over you'll get your chance...more likely against a more worthy foe than this" he states while pointing to the remains of the messenger.

[sblock=OOC] Nicely done! Unofficially, you guys have now earned a total of 3800 XP (about 633 each; Only 1117 XP to go)! [/sblock]

Wrapping its tentacles around itself in one last effort to keep you from getting at the gem, the Messenger falls to the ground with a loud *CLANG!*. Its single large eye is lifeless and black. Residual sparks of arcane energy leap off of its body from Kinion's last attack. The rift of split metal in the bottom of the Messengers chassis shows a bit of the gem. Somehow the creature is able to store things inside itself, though you do not see a way for it to do this. As you ponder this you hear a voice calling from the lift shaft above you.

"Hello? Is someone down there?"

You hear a magical hum and see a gnome coming down the shaft on the lift. He is quite obviously an artificer of some kind, as his outfit is covered in a random assortment of scrolls, potion bottles, wands, and other miscellaneous trinkets.

"I heard a great deal of ruckus down there and -- Oh DEAR! GUARDS! GUARDS!!! SOMEONE GET THE INQUISITORS! SOMEONE HAS BEEN MURDERED!!"

The gnome seems terrified of the group, and he keeps looking between the group and the dead body.
