[Adventure] The Sibylline Idol (Judge covaithe)

Incarnation steps forward, wrapping himself again in flame and shadow. Towards the closest sliver, he calls forth the dark curse, and follows with more flame. The pillar, however, spoils his aim.

OOC: Move to C19, gaining concealment. Curse M1 and Hellish Rebuke it but Miss.

[Surprise Round]

Dane hits the muscular sliver knocking it back away from the edge of the cliff and prone.

Incarnation curses the muscular sliver but misses with his hellish rebuke.

Riardon hits one of the little slivers killing it. It explodes in a gory mess, coating the great pink sliver with ooze. The ooze touches one of the other little slivers and it too explodes!

Rurdev targets the big pink sliver as its the closest non-prone, non-exploding sliver standing. The first javelin misses, but the second finds its target.

Vashik sends an acidic arrow towards the back of the beast, trying to target one of the little guys in his effect. The arrow finds its mark and the little critter explodes as well! This time the oozing splatter appears to injure the large pink sliver too.

Terrain Notes: cliff is 5ft high. A quick jump down will bring you to the floor below though its a bit of a climb up. The ceiling at the top of the slope (where you are now) is a little short, but the cavern expands both out and up. The slope ends to the south at the bottom of the cliff. Nearby the bottom of the slope a stalagmite stands.

Incarnation moves around the pillar, smoke keeping him hidden. Fire shoots forth again at the closest sliver, and he eyes around for more. [sblock=Incarnation (concealed)]Moves to I17. Hellish Rebuke M1: Ref 17, 13 fire. If it drops, he curses the closest and gains 4 THP.[/sblock]

Dane scuddles and hops to K19 while avoiding the muscular sliver until the last moment. He then unleashes a Brash Strike to take advantage of his prone opponent.

[Round 1]

Dane moves along the cliff face and hops down to engage the prone muscle sliver. His brash strike hits hard, though it leaves him open.

Incarnation like-wise moves down along the wall and uses the height to his advantage as he manages to strike the muscle sliver with his rebuke, bloodying it.

Riardon (NPCd) moves down off of the cliff to flank the muscle sliver. Had he not been in such a good position he'd have never managed to land the blow he did. As lucky as it was, it was still good enough to drop the larger sliver.

The slivers burst into motion as several of disgusting pods beneath the large pink sliver burst open revealing a number of premature sliverlings. And even more errupt from the room to the far right.

The big pink sliver (D1) remains atop the altar, several more pods squirm beneath it. It's massive head aims towards the heroes rushing towards it and a wave of dementia ripples through the air. Dane, Riardon, and Incarnation are all caught in the blast. You each feel the sliver's mind trying to bash away at yours causing you to stumble. The ongoing damage it is suffering has weakened the creature making it bloodied.

The two standard slivers (S1 & S2) are joined by another pair (S3 & S4) from behind the far wall. They move to surround Riardon who has wandered dangerously close. The wave of psychic assault, added poisoning, and necrotic flaking draw him closer to the deadly little slivers.

One of the little sliverlings (L5) heads after Incarnation but misses.

Four other sliverlings (L4, L6, L7, L8) setup a cascading wall of attacks against Dane as they pull him further from his companions.

Another little sliver slides out of hiding behind the pillar next to Dane and tries to hit him with a nasty oozing black spike. Despite its necrotic affect bypassing his armor, the stalwart dwarf is unaffected by the attack.

The warforged stumbles off the cliff, landing unceremoniously. The death of the muscled sliver, empowers him, and he glares out at the gathered beasts. Up against the wall, Incarnation moves slightly away and calls forth flame against it as the creature counterattacks.

OOC: Save Failed. I'm assuming his not prone (you didn't mention he would be). Don't forget his 4 THP from his cursed target dying. Shift to I19, curse L5, and Hellish Rebuke (provoking OA): Ref 24, 9 fire and it takes 1d6+6 more damage if Incarnation his hit.
 

Rurdev draws out his lightning blade and with silent command, the metal becomes a flickering forked bolt. He moves down past Incarnation and the small abberant creature next to him. Approaching the large pink sliver, the shifter strikes out with his blade, and the lightning scorches a vulnerable portion of it's alien anatomy. The blade surges and lightning arcs out to strike all the surrounding slivers.

Edit: Damage should be higher: The daily power die should be maxed and I forgot a d8 for the high crit property of the scimitar: 13 damage plus 7 lightning plus 1d8 to D1 and 6 damage to all enemies within 2 squares of D1.

Edit part deux: Okay, didn't have time to roll this morning, but here is my total for the round: CRIT for 13(1d8+5) +6(daily power of lightning scimitar) + 1(extra crit dice for magic weapon) +8(scimitar is high crit weapon. Total of 28 damage to D1 and 6 damage to all enemies within 2 squares

ooc: As I understand, Riardon will get the 2 ongoing damage at the begin of his round. So I can only post a save vs death? If I'm mistaken, he will use a minor action to encourage / heal himself, a move to shift left and a standard to teleport on the ledge. Sorry, I cannot post on WE :(
