(Adventure) To Delmon's Aid (Creamsteak Judging)

Troi - Init: 18; AC: 16; HP: 9/12; Atk: Longsword +3 (1d8+1)

Thurgan
"There, there lad. You alright?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Troi says.

OoC: For clarification, Uriel... earlier, I was moving back 10 feet, dropping longbow, drawing longsword, moving up 10 feet, then attacking. I looked in the PH, and Spring Attack lets you move, then attack, then move... I was making my movement all before I attacked; dropping the longbow was a free action, and drawing the longsword was a free action when done in conjunction with a move action (which is what I was doing). Not that it's too big of a deal, but it might make a difference in the future... and if I missed something else, please feel free to correct me. :)

My reference to you needing the feat for that statement was that you either
A: Provoke an AofOp moving out of it's threatening area (you don't with the feat) or B: You coud move out with a [Withdraw action and not provoke. I just wanted you to be sure of the chance of getting whacked. I'm not sure why you moved forward before firing a Bow in the first place, honestly, although it was gutsy.
:D

Thurgan moves closer, now in a position to Charge the Automaton on his next action.

Felix moves down the wall to try and get a view of the creature that isn't impeded by furniture. If he can find such a spot he will attempt to pick out the automaton with an arrow whilst attempting to avoid turning one of his companions into a pin cusion.

(Long Bow, 1d8 damage with +3 bonus to hit then whatever minuses cover or shooting into combat warrant - sorry don't have immediate access to a book)

Felix positions himself for the best shot, letting fly...and missing the Automaton by far too much <D'oh!>...

OoC:Just waiting on Velbrik's action.I think I can see where his direction lies, however...

IC: Velbrik swings at the back of the Automaton, catching it's carapace with a clang, <3HP>, knocking off a small bit of it's body.

The Automaton attempts to fire point=blan at Thale, draweing a blow <8HP> that destrpys one of it's crossbows. The shot goes astray (of course).

Thale returns the favor <5HP>, though his blow connects for damage. The Automaton shudders and falls apart as did the first one, leaving a second pile of gears and cogs lying upon the floor, as well as bits of armor and other metal.

OoC: 430XP each
This includes the Orc-Zombie below and a bit for for RPing.
The Orc zombie was technically 1.5 CR, but I gave you XPs for 2.
The Automatons were toned-down from the entry in the MMII, so they were a CR 2 instead of a 3.

Velbrik gestures up the stairs, where the trail of blood lies. "The wizard, perhaps?"

He looks thoughtful. "Well. If Delmon hasn't noticed us by now, it's possible he may not be in a condition to do so - injured or held captive. We ought to move a bit more carefully; his defenses could prove valuable later on, and I doubt he'd appreciate their destruction in any case."

I had already posted my action; post #106 immediately after your last combat update. Could you possibly edit your post, even though it won't make a difference?

Looking around the room at their handiwork, Thale turns back to his freinds. "Anyone need healing? I was too busy fighting that pile of gears to notice."

Troi - Init: +3; AC: 16; HP: 9/12; Atk: Whip +2 (1d3+1)

Troi shakes his head, then goes about the room, recovering his weaponry. He sheathes his longsword, and pulls out his whip.

Velbrik

"Yeah, but we're not even sure if these things are his." Troi says with a shrug. "I s'pose, though, they probably are... things I'd expect from a wizard, an' all. Let's just hope that th' upstairs don't hold somethin' else creepy, eh?"

"Though, as a side point, we can probably throw caution ta th' wind. We've made enough noise as is, that anythin' we run into is gonna know we're comin'."

Thale
"Anyone need healing? I was too busy fighting that pile of gears to notice."

"I'll be fine." Troi says. "But I'd recommend not forgettin' ta heal us, y'know? If yer a healer, then fightin' ain't yer main game, I'd think."

"Well, shall we head on?" Troi asks, heading for the stairway. "Me, then Thurgan, then... whatever order y'all are gonna come in."

With that, Troi stops roughly halfway up the stairway, and tries to listen for anything upstairs that might be moving...

Listen +6.
