(Adventure) To Delmon's Aid (Creamsteak Judging)

"Might be th' wizard, or whatever." Troi says, throwing caution to the wind as he heads for the stairs. "Ain't tryin' ta be quiet or anythin', so it might be... an' if it is, he might need our help, or somethin'."

He heads up the stairs, whip at the ready, and roughly shoulders the door open.

OoC:Hopefully, someone will follow Troi...

IC: Troi advances up the stairs, finding them to have blood drops and one large dried stain, though (Track roll), the blood is perhaps a day old, maybe a bit more.
At the door, Troi can hear whatever it is on the other side shambling about. Opening the door, torch and whip in hand, he can see a chamber that must have served as a dining room and perhaps a guest chamber.
Shambling about in the room is a tall and stocky form, turning he sse that it is an Orc, a feral one like those at the Vinyard...
What isn't the same is that this orc has been disembowled and has a crossbow bolt protruding from his chest. He has obviously been dead for a bit.
The zombie moans and starts moving towards troi at a quickened pace, it is perhaps 30 feet away.

Troi 18
Zombie 14

Felix lightly runs up behind Troi as he hears the old creaky door open, he picks up the pace as he hears the dead creature moan. When he is within range and can see the creature Felix raises his bow and lets an arrow loose at the undead monster.

"Be careful Troi, try and keep the thing moving!"

Thurgan follows shortly after Felix crossbow in hand, hopeful of meeting the dwarven wizard. Upon arriving upstairs however, he is greatly disappointed, which quickly turns to anger at the creature. He aimed his crossbow and let off a shot, then dropped it and drew his good war axe.

Seeing everyone else move up, Thale sighs. "Figures im last in line. Oh well" He then trots up behind the others, ready to charge if he can.

Troi's expression becomes one of disbelief at the apparently dead yet still walking creature. "What th' hell...?" He says.

He drops his whip and tosses the torch back onto the stairway, then charges towards the creature, pulling out his longsword and rapier as he does.

Longsword +3 (1d8+1), Rapier +5 (1d6+1), charge already accounted for. Longsword is primary weapon, rapier off-hand.

OoC: While the Rapier is a Finessable weapon, it is still a medium one, and thus your TWF penalties are pretty bad. As well, a Rapier isn't going to do all that much against a Zombie, are you sure you wouldn't rather use the torch against it? I'm of the Night of the Living Dead school of thought that the Corporeal undead aren't all that fond of Fire.

Likewise, the platform is only 5; wide, so at most one person is directly behind Troi, and another behind them etc...I'll have you advance in order of your posts, which you folks have pretty much written in as well (thanks).

PS: An Orc with the Feral and Zombie template is hideously Strong...

OoC: Hmm... crap, looks like I forgot about it. In that case, Troi would drop the whip and pull out the longsword, as I don't have a light weapon, stupid me.

I don't know if Troi would know that the undead don't like fire, so I'll go with just using the longsword for now. Bonus is +5 charging, +3 normally.
