(Adventure) Trek to the Vinyard...

Troi - Initiative: 22; AC: 16; HP: 8/8; Weapon: Whip +0, 1d3+1

"Gah!" Troi cries disgustedly. "How many a these damn things are there!"

If they are unarmored or only lightly armored, Troi will use his whip to attack the one on Rinaldo. If they look like they're wearing armor heavier than leather, then he'll try to disarm it rather than attack.

Attacking the orc on Rinaldo if it's not wearing armor or only light armor; otherwise, disarm attempt at +8. Moving as necessary, stopping once within maximum reach of the whip.

< Bluff worked>

Velbrik uses his superior swordsmanship to draw the Orc off, feinting one way and then slashing it < 6HP, still up>.

<They wear no Armor>

Troi spins around, moving a few feet forward and snapping his whip forward, targeting the Spear. The Orc manages to retain it's weapon, and nearly pulls the Whip from Troi's grasp <failed Disarm, and counter-Disarm failed as well>

Felix sees no opening against the Orc north, but the one south is an easier target and he puts an arrow into it's leg <5HP>.

Thurgan, taking advantage of Velbrik's Feint, stabs the orc through the chest <8HP,dead>, dropping it where it lays.

RInaldo, desperately wounded, stabs at his assailant, hitting him in the face <5HP>, killing him, the Orc's jaw nearly seperated from it's head as it falls lifeless to block the enteryway.

Outside the rain intensifies again and it would seem that the full Rage of this storm is yet to appear, though it comes fast.

These Orcs look much as the ones in theyard, with the same necklaces and brand burned upon them, as well as the hideously long claws and outjutting jaws.

In the Gameroom, the child has ceased his crying, keeping completely quiet, having heard Orcs again.

HP:1/7 AC:14 Initiative +3 Shortsword(att:+0 dam:1d6 sneak:1d6 crit:19/x2)

Rinaldo looks at the Orcs at his feets. He shout in orcish some ugly word, hoping that no one have understood the meaning. Rinaldo start coughing, but the cough is not clear. When he walk back in direction of Felix, Felix can see a large wound in the abdomen of Rinaldo.

"Damn... it hurts that spear."

Rinaldo sit down, lean on the wall. He take his shirt off. The wounds seems deep in the chest, but Rinaldo breath is good, no vital organ seems to have been touch... at first sight.

"Is everyone is ok?"

The voice of Rinaldo seem weak and hesitant.

The adrenaline rush having passed, Velbrik collapses against a wall, clutching the axe-wound across his shoulder.

"I'm pretty badly hurt," he says, "But I can still walk."

He wheezes, "We need to hurry...need to make a plan and get to safety. There are probably more of them out there."

OoC: Just to point out, I said that if they weren't wearing armor, that Troi would just attack an orc rather than try to disarm it. Not a big deal, since they're all dead anyway... just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Troi looks around. "Everybody who got hurt, go back in th' room with Zoe, get her ta give ya some of the healing potions we got from Fenton. I'm gonna try ta secure th' doors while we work out a plan."

He looks to Velbrik. "Y'know... ya said yer a bard, or somethin', not a fighter. Next time, leave the fightin' to us, eh?"

He then moves quickly to each of the orcs, gathering up their weaponry. He heads to the doors, trying to use the orc weaponry to bar them.

OoC:Duly noted, GW, my mistake. We have 2 wounded. Using 2 of the potions will bring them to full HP.

IC: Barring the door (there is a bar on the inside), and retreating bac to the Gamesroon with the wounded Velbrik and Rinaldo to be healed, the Companions assess their situation.

The small child says to Zoe ' We could hide in the Attic...'
then sniffles again looking from one of you to the next.

"Just how many of these buggers can there be?" Thurgan asked. He rubbed his side and favored it as he entered the room with Zoe and the child.

OoC:Retro DM Fixit. Nobody had spent their 50GP each from Fenton...by coincidence, 50 GP buys a CLW potion <which was what I hoped you folks would do, seeing as you have no Cleric>. I have no problem letting you trade the gold for the potions if you like. Let me know...I'm off to work now, hopefully everyone will have posted by the time I get back (8 hrs or so).

Velbrik waits for the healing potion to close the wound, then responds, "The attic would be a good idea. Could you show us the way?"

[Yes, I think I'll take advantage of that fixit. So that puts us at one party potion left and one personal one; if I get wounded again I'll use my personal one.]
