[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

[sblock=r1]
I believe that Rumbum should have 56 hp and 1 less healing surge due to River's healing efforts in his last post.

Pain wracks the gnome, he silently curses, Pok tip toes back. Then, raising his arms, he releases a horde of glowing insects that swarm around the wall toward the closest enemies of the small caster. They focus on the dwarf, destroying any concentration he had, and keeping him from paying attention to Pok's allies.

The gnome focuses his willpower and denies the power of the tiefling. He then crouches in silence hoping to be forgotten in the excitement of battle.

"Dwarf, throw your weapon in the fissure, or you'll be next to go down. So have spoken Arawai." state River as the dwarf start to glow like a beacon. River finally hastly move and follow Pok behind the wall.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Start: 5 ongoing damage and regen 2 => 19/69

Standard: Prophetic Guidance vs Dwarf 2 => He grant CA until the end of my next turn. Also, until the end of my next turn, anyone attacking the dwarf deal an extra 5 damage and the first attack that miss him can be rerolled.

Move: Run to I17

End: Save (1d20=3)[/SBLOCK]

it was always about taking the dwarf's OA away, and keeping behind the wall. Single target doesn't give Pok the ability to target "around" the wall, like an area blast does. Thank you for the option though r1!

[sblock=ooc]
Rumbum misses D2 (using the same attack roll used against the now dead human). However, can I take advantage of River's Prophetic Guidence power which grants the chance to reroll the miss, If so, here's the new attack roll.

Power: brash stirke: 1d20+16+2 (CA) vs dwarf ac = 36 for 13 (original damage roll for miss) + 5 (River Power) = 18.

Dwarf 2 is marked by rumbum and rumbum grants CA to dwarf 2 until beginning of next turn.

extra critical damage 8

Dwarf takes 29 Lightning damage.

The dwarf is heavily injured by the assault and the man barely winces as the bolt strikes him.

"Enough." he says simply, a red amulet around his neck flares with a near blinding intensity and the dwarf simply falls over. You hear a clatter outside of something small and metal falling to the ground.

A wide staircase to the west leads up to an altar, an immense red stone glowing there. On the topmost step, a figure stands—a male human, hair tied back to reveal a prominent scar on his cheek. He holds his greatsword beside him and holds his position despite the attack from the drow.

"You have had a long journey, I expect. I knew that my time here would be limited, but I did not expect the challenge so soon. Please, sit. Rest and refresh yourself before the end." the man says evenly.

He gestures to a large decanter sitting on the stone altar, "If you are weary a draught of this wine should help recover your strength. The giant's had a few casks left over and this still contains some of their magic." he says.

The wine does appear to invigorate those drinking it and is safe to drink.

OOC: In game terms it recovers 1 spent healing surge[/sblock]

[sblock=Status]

Rumbum: 55/69; used 1 AP, used 8 surges, used Comeback Strike,
Feall: 45/45; used 3 surges,
River: 19/69; used 1 AP, used 7 surges, used Virtue's Touch & Moment of Glory, bloodied,
Pok: 18/40 - used 4 surges, used Visions of Avarice, Used Horrid Whispers,
Sheeva: 48/48 - used 2 surges, used 1 AP, used Howling Tempest, bloodied,

Enemies

Dwarf 1: -92hp, bloodied,
Dwarf 2: -12 hp, marked (Rumbum)
Human: -76hp, used Curse, used Mask of Fear, bloodied, Targeted for Death (whenever Feall use Assassin's Shroud against the target you subject it to two Shrouds instead of one)
Tiefling: -82hp, bloodied
Orc: -60hp, bloodied, prone, slowed TENT

Illumination: Everburning torches (bright 5) along all walls.

Rubble: Loose rock and gravel spreading from the south is difficult terrain. (Q14 - 22, P15 - 19, O15 - 19)

Fissure: The floor of this chamber collapses into a fissure 10 feet deep. It can be jumped with a DC 20 Athletics check (DC 10 with a 2-square running
start). Characters who enter the fissure take 1d6 damage and must make a DC 18 Acrobatics or Athletics check to clamber up its crumbling walls.

Bedrolls and Fire Pit: These are difficult terrain.

Ruined Shrine: This shrine is 10 feet high. It provides superior cover to anyone behind it and can be scaled with a DC 10 Athletics check.

Stairs: The oversized staircases in this chamber are difficult terrain (costs 1 extra square).

Fountain Pool: The pool of water and the wet floor around it are difficult terrain.

River looks behind and doesn't see the Tiefling coming back. He then walk and take a look at the wine. He quickly understand the nature of magic around that liquid and takes the man's offer. "Thank you."

He take the decanter and drink some wine. "You can drink, friends, and stay around me, I'll help you recover." He then hand the decanter to Rumbum. As the other drinks, River plant his Battle Standard and once everyone is around him, summon his goddess power to heal everyone.

River than look at the man. "My name is River from Cyre, member of house Jorasco, follower of Arawai. What did you meant by your time is limited. Who are you, if it isn't impolite."

[SBLOCK=OOC]Arcane; Insight (1d20+6=25, 1d20+15=20)

Insight against the man intention.

Waiting for everyone to be standing next to him. Word of Vigor (3d6+14=25)

Pok and Rumbum should be full after spedning that HS. River should be at 19 (current HP) + 17 (HS value) + 25 (Word of Vigor) + 3 (Battle Standard) = 64/69. He will live with that.

Assuming everyone drink as River suggest and Rumbum and Pok both spend 1 HS, the stats would be:

Rumbum: 69/69; used 1 AP, used 8 surges, used Comeback Strike,
Feall: 45/45; used 2 surges,
River: 64/69; used 1 AP, used 7 surges, used Virtue's Touch & Moment of Glory
Pok: 40/40 - used 4 surges, used Visions of Avarice, Used Horrid Whispers,
Sheeva: 48/48 - used 1 surges, used 1 AP, used Howling Tempest [/SBLOCK]
