[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

Valahad washes the sweat and grime from himself and his armor. The paladin shines his armor up with bit of oil, and then straps it back onto him once more. A quick meal later, and he is ready to meet the half-orcs.

When Feall approaches him, Valahad nods. "Go ahead, just be careful."

Well, we can obviously see who has the bigger sword out of Val and River.

9000 GP ($900,000) for the night with Val.
1000 GP ($100,000) for the night with River.

I knew that Half Orcs were stupid, but this has got to be the best example yet. This sounds like one of those "give up your kidney in Las Vegas" schemes. ;)

And Sheeva was complaining about 10 GP. From now on, she's mugging the Paladin for cash. Course, Val can only sell the sword for 1800 GP, but that's still 900 days at a luxury hotel. Sheeva and Val should blow this popsicle stand.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Is it possible to buy some ritual in the city? Now that I have 1000gp. Hesitating between going for some Heal ritual or Enchant Item and create myself an item as I cannot buy them at the moment. Would like an Arawai Storm's Boon (a.k.a. Melora Storm boon).

Not decided yet, but if nothing is possible, that would solve my dilema.[/SBLOCK]

"Many thanks. Do you think he is still using Lan appearnace?" asks River to Val. He then turn toward the half-orc and describe Lan to her. "We lost this companion during our trip. He has been called back by his god, but one of the Khyberist, the possible changeling, have taken over his appearance."

Valahad admires the blade, noting it's fine edge, as if it could cut through space itself. "Thank you very much, but I don't think...." Valahad speaks to Kaia's mind, but stops when he sees the look of disappointment cross the females face. "...I can take this without giving you something in return. If there is anything you require, I will do my best to give it to you."

"Do you know where my clone went off to? Perhaps he can lead us to his allies."

The half-orcs face bursts crimson at Valahad's words, she turns shyly away. "Maybe we can spend some time together and see what happens. We couldn't find out what happened to your double, he might've left the city, maybe on a Lyrander ship south? He could be here too, if he's a changeling he could be anywhere, but enough talk of that, tell me more about you..." Kaia says.

Yeah...Val's a high-class uh...escort...yeah. I like the parcel system here from a fairness perspective, but I also dislike it as it can strain things with rewarding players.

Velmont, they'd have any healing rituals from a small House Jorasco location, but there's no House Cannith presence here so the item creation ritual would be unavailable.

Valahad's thoughts are opposite of the half-orcs. Perhaps I can find an ally against the Dreaming Dark here in this small town. We need eyes everywhere, because the Dreaming Dark is everywhere.

Speaking to Kaia, the paladin doesn't look the least bit embarassed. "Surely, I have many things to tell you. I come from a place far away from here, and I could teach you many things."

Finally after a couple of hours of scouring the room for hidden holes, traps, screens, and other nastiness; Pok settles in for a bath.

The locked door, with nightstand in front should hold for now... and the window with the dresser will at least make noise if someone wanted in...

Ah... finally a moment to relax.

After cleaning himself of grime, and then his clothes, the water seemed a black pool of filth to the gnome. Should have just done the ritual... He muttered to himself.

Then each piece of gear was laid out, cleaned, and reorganized into the folds of Pok's robes. After a close examination of his candle, and it's being deemed safe, the gnome lights it, and snuffs out his magical light. In the dim lit room, the wizard poured over his spellbook memorizing and trying to enhance the spells passed through his family.

Later the gnome emerged from his cave, and joined Valahad and River in the common room. Clean, hooded, and quiet, the wizard found a place near Valahad, and began listening to the room. Each conversation being just as interesting as what Valahad, River, and the half-orc women had to say.

The rest of the night passes without major event, Val and River spend some time with their newfound lady friends and whatever happens as the night continues is not for anyone elses ears or eyes. The group assembles in the morning.

I believe we shall call the night there....

Also, I believe Feall picked up some info last night. [/sblock]

Valahad awakes early once more, to get a good start, before the humidity of the day arrives in full force. The kalashtar dons his armor, and his new weapon. He thanks Kaia for her company, and to keep an eye out for hidden foes of the Dreaming Dark.

He then heads down for breakfast, awaiting Feall, to see what he found out while around town. After all, he was busy last night.
